Hello west coast! No power yet at Storm Light Outfitters but we will open today 10 - noon (and possibly this afternoon) in case anyone is looking for camp stoves and fuel, flashlights, etc

Method Marine Supply is on generator and open daily 730 am - 6 pm

It looks like Thursday is shaping up to be an introduction to our next storm season. It's a good reminder for all to plan ahead and check supplies.

On 11 July 2024, a 6.40 magnitude earthquake was lightly felt near Port Alice, B.C. Additional earthquakes of a lower magnitude have also occurred in the area.

There are no reports of damage or injury.

If you feel the ground start to shake or receive an Earthquake Early Warning alert on your phone, TV or radio:

Drop to the ground ✔️

Take cover under a sturdy table of piece of furniture ✔️

Hold On until the shaking stops ✔️

Count to 60 before getting up to allow displaced items to settle ✔️
