well, phew, it sure has been a LONG time since I have posted here - mostly because it has been a very very very busy harvesting season for all kinds of fruits/ veggies, medicines and sadly this year very little bark due to a strange circumstance that created broken bones in my foot, not due to any external damage, no kicking things no dropping things on it, but thankfully am recovering slowly but surely from that ordeal. If you think crutches and wheel chair are awkward getting into and out from vehicles - lol - imagine boats and then vehicles after hauling all your goods up a boat ramp!! phew tired just thinking about that :) luckily I had a few good helpers and made it through. This year has been mostly about harvesting wild berries and what ever fruit or veggies we could get our hands on and are preserving them in canning jars. lol freezers are way too full, so best way it to jar things. so this year fruits, soups, stews, chowders, veggies juice and broth plus when we are lucky enough to get some fish - into the jars it goes. We have made a great start on our winter's jams, jellies, juices, sauces, fruit butters, soups, chowders etc. We are loving the fact that we know exactly what went into each creation, no hidden preservatives strange chemicals, etc. just yummy good foods. well, that is me for a while yet. more Preserving and LOVING this time spent with my Mom, who is 82 this year and still going strong! We laugh tell stories and yes gossip and the time flies and next thing we know it is time to wrap it up for the night! Take Care Everyone, Happy Crafting, Happy Preserving, Happy Life! Stay Safe

WOW!! has been a Very long time since I posted here. much has been happening in my little world. I have been doing more sewing than weaving - especially with the need for face masks. I also moved to Hot Springs Cove, BC - a very small, very remote community accessed by boat or float plane. it is so very beautiful here and peaceful! I still have so much to do to make this house my home, but I am working on that steadily each day. Happy Crafting Everyone! Stay Home and Stay Safe!!

well, been some time since I posted here. I now live and work in Hot Springs Cove, I basically run the Casper's Bakery with lots of help from my Mom, Dolores Bayne, and we are doing great~ lots of bread and lots of cookies pies and cinny buns etc. will have to take a stab at some cakes and have fun with bakery treats! yesterday did an enormous batch of bread dough, got 22 loaves of bread and about 45-50 buns and also made chocolate chip cookies - and oatmeal raisin cookies.
