Well one of my more proudest moments in the moment….

I was on the go this day and something told me to leave work a bit early as I was going to pick up a Christmas Tree🌲🌲🎄🎄🎄

Saw this lady hit the ditch in front of me and right away responded to the situation.

She was in distressed and said she had no money for a tow truck…. I thought about calling police but felt like I could some good as I was prepared and ready.

Luckily there was a Good Samaritan that saw the accident as well and helped me calm the individual down. I told her it was going to be ok and we were going to get her out so she can get her kids home. Three kids in the van, which was hung up on a crusty crystallized snow bank. It had snowed a lot the past week and the snow was hard as ice in some spots.

Looking at the angle and the way the van was stuck it seemed easy to free the undercarriage, so it was able to move. We shovelled her out with the help of a third individual.

When I bought the truck from my Dad, my grandfather passed me his lucky tow rope and it came in clutch. Strong yet stretchy, which is way better than a chain I think in this situation.

Right on the main artery of the city Algonquin Boulevard, pulled her out like pretty easy like a fish out of a fishing hole.

I’ve had some experience first responding in my day and oddly enough was calm and focused on getting it done safely and as efficiently as possible.

Shout out to the Guy Nelson for being there as a relaxed individual which helped with the other part of the job, he made the woman comfortable so I could do my thing.

Didn’t expect that on the way to getting a tree 🌲

I was young once and learned the hard way at sometimes. Some people don’t get a second chance.
