Story Time.

Went to a 56 person GT this weekend and went 3-3. It was my first ever GT and I am really happy with my results. I brought
2x Maleceptor
2x3 Warriors
2x Parasites
1x4 Zoans
1 Deathleaper
1 Winged Tyrant with Reaper
1 Walking Tyrant with Shardgullet
1x3 Guard
1 Exocrine
1 Dimachaeron

Let me say all 6 of my opponents were very friendly and we played "kitchen table"
Allowing take backs and playing by intent.

Round 1
Raven Guard

I feel like any match up into Marines is a good match up for me. I have a lot of practice against them.

I went First. I moved into the middle and did a MW attack on his foward deploy.

His first turn he fell back into his deployment. From there I just kept pressure and took the win. In a very close match up I was still finding my feet with the list and understanding some combos and picking secondaries.

So I won a close overall because my opponent was very very cagey. He played well. 78-75 W

Round 2
I got paired into the guy that would end up 5th overall and the top Tau player of the weekend.

He went first... I squeezed 68 points he got 87.

Round 3
He went First
I paired into Necrons. I have had lots of practice against them also. This guy was super nice and had an awesome winter themed paint scheme. He played the Monolith and Silent King. We had fun but I took a pretty easy W. 79-49. My list was proving what I had thought. Even winning it would not score 100.

Round 4
He went first
This was same day. Drukhari After 3 games we were all tired and more than alittle tipsy.
My opponent showed up 20 mins late but we finished well inside time. This player ended up 6th overall. We played a slug fest of a match dropping big amounts of each others army each round scoring big points. He won. 93 to 89. There was a key moment in that match where he had 1 model left with 1W. Obsec. My Exocrine had a shot and I had a non obsec ripper swarm on the point. He needs 7 5+ Saves. He fails 1 and I win. So after the luckiest rolls of my weekend. He won.

Day 2
Round 5

He went First
I played into 13 Wardogs. (Chaos Knights)
100% he failed on player placed terrain and made it so he had only 1 exit from his deployment. We picked them off as they came out. I won 96-75

Round 6
He went first.
I am now on the highest table I played at. I am playing on table 6. Against a player that was fighting for first all day 1 but lost his round 4 and 5. Custodes. I was tired and blew my deployment forgot to Reserve the Dima and he got blown off the table and I got cornered by bikes. I fought hard losing 100 to 68 against the player that ended up. 11th overall.

Finishing 22nd out of 56. I am both happy with my results and happy with how much fun the competitive scene was it was not nearly as cut throat at the top tables as I was worried it was. I never once ended up on a bottom table. That is one of the things I am happy for. Goal of 3-3 and next time will try for 4-2 as long as it never get to be a sweaty try hard game. I will keep having fun at these events.
