In a wee little basement in the home of Christina Marcano. Christina started in the clothing business over ten years ago when she co-founded an active wear company called Skyler Clothing. Skyler grew quickly and by 2008 they had three stores over two-hundred wholesale accounts and regular appearances on the Shopping Channel and then…the recession hit. The company started to spiral out of control a

nd as a last ditch effort Christina went to pitch her case on CBC’s the Dragons Den. The response was phenomenal. She received an outpouring of support but after a bit of soul searching she realized Skyler wasn’t her true dream. She closed Skyler down and headed back to her basement where she got to work building her true dream - Silver Icing. An amazing brand that offers comfy chic clothing that won’t break the bank. In 2013 Silver Icing launched and is now a thriving online shop with a network of independent stylists. As a young mom, Christina knew how important a work life balance is. She was tired of driving 2 hours a day back and forth from work. She loved being able to make her kids lunch or take them to a park on a sunny afternoon. Being a stay at home working mom was exactly what her family needed and it is from this experience that she committed to building a company that other moms and women could be a part of. Her greater vision is to provide women with the option to balance life and work by having the opportunity to work from home during hours that don’t disrupt the family lifestyle. Becoming an Online Stylist does just that. It is the best of both worlds, everything is online so you can commit as much or as little as you like. You can work when the kids go to bed or nap during the day. Everything can be done online, including pop up shops, so there is no need to sacrifice evenings or weekends to host parties. Kim's All of the Moons Necklace Review: I love this super cute layered necklace! It has a nice big clasp closure so it's easy to put on and take off yourself. The layers are stuck in place so you don't have to worry about layering them yourself either.

Kim's Landmark Cardigan Review: I'm wearing the size small in the Landmark Cardigan and love the fit. It's a super soft, open style knit. Because it's more of a lightweight cardi, the acrylic content of it is still super soft. It's mixed with nylon which creates a really comfy, soft knit material. Perfect to wear with shorter shorts, skirts or even denim in spring or early fall.

Kim's You Are the One Denim Skirt Review: I'm wearing my typical size 36 in this skirt and it fits great! It's really comfortable and stretchy while still maintaining a soft denim feel. I like the unique fading, it reminds me of my all time favourite Eastside Denim!

Kim's Change of Heart Handbag Review: Moda Luxe has to be my new favourite brand of purses! Such superior quality, all of their products have amazed me! This bag is genuine suede mixed with vegan leather. I love the classic bucket style, I don't think I own one like this! Just another reason to get it lol!!

Allison's Landmark Cardigan Review: I'm wearing the XL in this cardigan and it fits great! I have pulled the sleeves up slightly and it gives off a sort of slouchy look that I love. The open knit is breathable and soft and can easily be worn through various seasons!

Allison's You Are the One Denim Skirt Review: The size 42 in this skirt fits me perfectly. It's a soft, stretchy denim that pairs great with something tucked in. I will definitely be wearing this with cute summer tops through the coming months!

Christina's All of the Moons Necklace Review: This is just the best layered necklace ever! I am so excited we were able to bring it back and in a new colour. I have a bigger neck so sometimes necklaces like this won't work for me but this one has a great extension. I have it on the largest size and find it's perfect! It stays put and doesn't tangle easily. I just love the look of it!

Christina's Landmark Cardigan Review: I have a serious closet crush on this cardi. I am a sucker for open knit cardigans like this so it's no surprise that I love this one as much as I do. I love how they keep my covered but in a light and airy way! Perfect for summer!! The knit gives that boho vibe and works so well with a number of different outfits. I am wearing the size small and it's great. I could also go medium if I wanted it to be a bit more flowy. I personally like where it sits when open so I will be sticking with the size small.

Christina's You Are the One Denim Skirt Review: THIS is my dream denim skirt. I feel like I have been waiting years for a style like this to come around. It hits all the check boxes for me. ✅Stretchy ✅Not too short ✅Functional Pockets ✅Perfect light wash colour. I am wearing the 38 and there is a fair bit of room. The waist sits perfectly and is not too tight at all. The bottom is even a little loose which is typical for me. If I wanted a more fitted skirt I could wear the small and it works great as well it's just more fitted. It's a toss up as to exactly which size I prefer and depends more on the look I am going for. The medium is just a bit more casual and relaxed so I will probably go with that size.

Christina's Change of Heart Handbag Review: It was love at first sight when I first laid my eyes on this bag. The colour is so rich and real suede on the front of the bag really elevates the look. It's a nice option for our product mix. I love how big of an opening it has for all my stuff but I can still get that boho look!

Hayley's Make It Right Sweater Review: I am wearing a size small in the Make It Right Sweater and it does fit true to size. I love this lighter weight knit and shorter length for transitioning into spring, it will even be super cute on a summer evening with denim shorts! I like the slit on the the side for added detail and also appreciate the length for the ability to do a nice little tuck

Hayley's Malibu Beach Capris Review: I am wearing a size 5 in the Malibu Beach Capris and I freaking love how they fit and feel!!! Definitely in my top 3 Favorite Denim of all time. I call this my sexy casual denim, it's the color of the wash, amount of distressing, skinny leg, perfectly frayed cuff that hits you just above the ankle so you can wear a heel or sneaker without having to roll them up, super soft, stretchy and comfy. At lease these are things I look for 😉 I highly recommend them!

Hayley's Perfect Destination Clutch Review: This clutch is so fresh and cute! Its natural fibers and texture make it a statement piece that will have people noticing. It's lightweight and practical with one main storage area and a small pouch on the interior for your cards and phone. I like the gold chain! It is a great length to wear cross body or alternatively remove it so that it becomes a true clutch. The two color options are neutral pallets allowing you to pair it with pretty much anything.

Hayley's Country Club Denim Review: I am wearing a size 27 in the Country Club Denim and they do fit looser. I am normally a size 28 or 5 and the 27 here were still loose on the waist but keep in mind they are a relaxed/girlfriend style. As advised by Kim, they fit very similar to “To the Moon & Back Denim” from Noisy May. They are meant to be a looser/more casual fit all around. Allie had to size down by 2 sizes from her normal 27 to a 25 to achieve this fitted look. So, in conclusion, size down my friends. I truly hope that this review helps you. This is also a relaunch of these jeans which we had last year! They are exactly the same as the previous launch.

Hayley's On a Roll Denim Jacket: I am wearing a size small in the On a Roll Denim Jacket and it does fit true to size. There is so much I absolutely love about the features and versatility of this jacket. The denim is medium weight, soft and comfortable. The buttons are a snap closure which makes it so easy to wear done up which looks so cute almost like a denim shirt. You can wear the sleeves down or roll them to a 3/4 length, pop the collar or roll it down, cinch the waist with the inner drawstring, button it up...the options are endless. I can't wait to hear about how much you love it and to see all different ways you wear it!

Kim's Point it Out Flats Review: Yay flats!! Can it be spring now please? I want to wear these with every outfit, they're so comfy! The inner sole has a bit of cushion and I feel these will definitely work for a wide foot. They're a smooth, faux leather, making them nice and easy to clean. I am wearing the size 38 here and this is the size I will buy. For reference, I am normally a 39, sometimes 38, so if in between sizes, you can size down. I also have a somewhat wider foot and these fit very comfortably. This material will probably give a bit too, all my flats in the past have gotten a little looser over time. Now... which colour?!

Kim's Trademark Coatigan Review: Wow, just wow. I can't get over this blazer style coatigan!!!! It's buttery soft, thicker than a typical faux suede making it very warm but it just looks so darn good on! In my time here at SI, I haven't seen something like this so I am beyond excited for it! The collar stays in place, the pockets are an amazing feature and the cuffs can be secured in a number of way (ruched, folded), by the fabric tab attached to the sleeve. The length is flattering and it's not clingy or tight in any part of the body. I am wearing my normal size 36 and it fits great - very comfortable!

Hayley's Review: I am wearing a size small in the Wanakome Coastal Sherpa Vest and it does fit true to size. It fits comfortably giving you that extra bit of room you need to layer it over a long sleeve or a sweater. I love the nice cozy Sherpa outer with a soft jersey cotton. There is an inner snap closure in the neckline that gives this vest the classic Wanakome neckline that we all love so much. I just want to note that this inner snap closer is to be used with care as it is secured on the delicate jersey fabric. I like the look of the front pocket in the grey Jersey with the brown leather looking zipper. I also like that it is a bit longer in the back so that it covers your bum a bit. Yet another great staple for your Wanakome collection.

Kim's Second Look Tunic Review: Hands down my favourite dressier tunic to date! You guys are going to LOVE this one! The quality is so nice, not sheer, very silky soft with some stretch. It's not static or clingy at all, it falls beautifully and the neckline is sophisticated and flattering! I have unbuttoned the cuffs and rolled them up and I love this look. I'm a little over 5'4 and the back of the tunic hits just above the back of my knees. The perfect length for a tunic. I am wearing the size small and I find it true to size. I have paired this with Cruise Control 2.0 Leggings and I find this to be the perfect look!

Kim's On the Block Mule Review: Oh Beast is at it again! I absolutely love their shoes. Superior quality and always trendy in style. The material of these feels very similar to the Walk it Out Flats. The toe doesn't bend, it holds its shape exceptionally well and the sole has a bit of padding for added comfort. The stacked block heel makes noise when you walk but they're very comfortable. They're medium weight but the quality is unparalleled. I am wearing the size 8 and they just fit. If you are in-between sizes, I suggest to size up.

Kim's Camo Chameleon Top Review: This top is sooo soft, I can't get over it!! It's so comfortable, it's almost a cross between a light sweater and a long sleeve top. The dusty camo is so pretty in person and the material feels like a super soft brushed fleece. There's a good amount of stretch so it's suuuper comfortable! Need! The fit is TTS as I am wearing the size small here and it fits perfectly. I am wearing this with High Expectations Denim in a 5.

Kim's Gather Together Tunic Review: Okay so do you remember the After-Bloom Delight floral tunic from last spring? This is it in solid colours, long sleeves and with thumbholes! Amazingly soft, stretchy and a flattering tunic length with a rounded neckline. I love this top! It's so versatile too. It can be worn with leggings in a casual way or with jeans and boots. I also feel this is the perfect undershirt for to wear with a ski or snowboard outfit! It would tuck in nicely to snowpants and the thumbhole features are ideal to wear under a big ski jacket to keep the sleeves down. I am wearing the size small here and it fits great.
