With the new school year coming up (or already starting!) I've had a ton of requests asking me to create a self-care image for teachers and students.
I want to give a huge shout-out to all of the teachers who chimed in here and created this list. The overwhelming bit of advice was set boundaries with your time. Take your breaks and lunches and spend them in a nourishing way. Leave when the day is over (if you can). If you're staying late, set a limit to how late. Don't take work home if you can help it.
And another great piece of advice was to get involved with local politics to help change and influence the systems that make it hard for teachers.
*I understand that you might not be able to do all of this, take what you can and leave the rest. You're doing a great job!
