Hi everyone,

We are excited to introduce ourselves, Christina and Gil, as the new owners of Blue Jay Tackle! We live just outside of Thunder Bay, Ontario, in the township of Gillies. We are avid outdoor enthusiasts and spend our free time fishing, hiking, hunting, camping, riding our atv’s and horses, and taking every opportunity to find something adventurous to do in beautiful North Western Ontario.

We would like to express our gratitude to Laura for allowing us the opportunity to own and operate Blue Jay Tackle. Our aim is to continue providing unique high quality tackle. Keep a lookout as we are excited to be adding some new selections soon!

It is time to make my future plans known to you all. My run with Blue Jay Tackle is coming to an end this September. I haven’t found anyone to hand the torch to so I will be ceasing operations on September 30 of this year. If anyone is interested in the business please let me know and I would ask only for serious inquiries. It’s been a blast and I have met so many wonderful people that have given me memories to last me a life time. Thank you all.

Blue Jay Tackle Ltd. was formed in 1994. It started off as a minor addition to the tackle section of a local sporting goods store. It quickly grew in popularity and Blue Jay racks were put into the Thunder Bay Canadian Tire stores shortly after. As it stands now, Blue Jay Tackle is available in over 70 locations in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Ontario.

The reason why Blue Jay Tackle is asked for by name and recognized all over Canada and parts of the United States is its' superior quality and performance. Blue Jay Tackle uses only quality brand name components that were chosen for specific purposes. The combination of components and vivid colors makes Blue Jay Tackle the preferred spinner choice for most fishing enthusiasts.

The Blue Jay Spinner rack has 200 different choices, with something for everyone. We use in the manufacture of Blue Jay Tackle; Rosco swivels, Big Game Trilene line, interchangeable clevises, premium quality beads and blades, Eagle Claw or Mustad hooks, and also recyclable and reusable plastic clam shell boxes.
