One of the craftiest, most creative people I know is about to officially opened the doors to Lala’s Craft Bowl! 🎉💖

Whether you’re looking to try a new hobby, have a fun outing with friends / family, or just want to support an amazing local small business, go check them out, give them a follow, and show some local love.

Soft Opening TODAY, Canada Day, from 12:00 - 6:00 with the Grand Opening just around the corner on July 18/19!

Aug 1&2, if you’re planning to drop by the Core Roar, be sure to stop by ’s Craft Bowl on the corner of May and Victoria to do a craft, make some slime, draw yourself on our Community Board or just pop in to grab a kit to take home. We’ll be open and in full swing and hoping to add some FUN to your day because we’re all about FUN ART not fine art. See you there

Can’t wait for you to open!! Lala’s Craft Bowl

For those of you who haven’t heard yet, here is the announcement that I’ve been handing out to everyone.
I’m just getting the keys today, I’ll need about a month to set up and get everything ready for you all. And then come July, I’ll be opening Thunder Bay’s most FUN, little Pop In and Make It Space.
There will be a nice little seating area with couches and chairs and walls full of donated yarn, where you can just pop in with your own portable craft and hang out with whoever is there. If you don’t have a craft on the go, you’re still welcome to come out and hang, I’ll have the donated yarn, some needles and hooks and some patterns from local organizations looking for donations.
There will be a 24 seat workshop area that will be used for hosting some of my regular workshops, open for other crafters to host workshops and on the weekends, will be available for birthday parties.
And there will be a Pop In and Make It Space that will operate much like a Craft Cafe where you will have your choice of 5-6 types of crafts to choose from. You pick your craft, the colours and supplies to make your craft and then you will be shown to your seat where all of the FUN, magic and creativity will happen.
It’s going to be a safe space with crafts and creativity available for everyone of all ages and all skill levels. A space for FUN ART and Crafting•Caring•Community
I hope you all come out and see me and craft with me, because without you, the community won’t be complete🥰
PS. I will still be doing my workshops and FUNdraisers at local venues around our amazing city, don’t worry. I love those events and the venues that I have developed such amazing relationships with and who have helped me get to the point where I am today🥰

In preparation of my new crafting space (opening in the next few months) I will be accepting and collecting your gently used, no longer wanted craft supplies, tools and machinery. Contact me to arrange drop off (Port Arthur near Grandview Mall) or pick up if necessary.
If you, or anyone you know is actually following through on your New Years/ January resolution, first off-kudos 👏, very proud of you, keep up the good work. And secondly, let me help you by getting it out of your house for you. Not only will you be doing good by clearing your space, but you’ll be helping out by saving your stuff from the landfill and ensuring that it gets a new lease on life to add joy and peace to someone in need.

So excited to see this come together!

📣✨ Lala’s Craft Bowl — Coming Soon

I’m excited (and a little nervous!) to share that Lala’s Craft Bowl will be opening in the coming months 🎨💜 Date and Location in the works

It’ll be a creative community space that will include:
• affordable craft programs for all ages
• after-school and community-focused sessions
• a thrift shop for craft supplies
• opportunities to create for connection, wellness, and giving back

As I prepare for opening, I’m slowly and intentionally gathering craft supply stock for the thrift store and programs. If you’re decluttering, stash busting, or simply reorganizing, donated supplies are always welcome — now or later.

This space is about:
✨ accessibility, not perfection
✨ creativity, not pressure
✨ community, not waste

More details will be shared as things come together — but I can’t wait to make this space with you 🤍
