👋 Meet Ashton Marlow
Ashton is the Sales Manager at Smith’s RV, and if there’s one thing he’ll tell every first-time RV buyer, it’s this: Whatever snacks you think you need… double them.
When it comes to his own camping style, Ashton likes to keep things simple and easy. His pick for a weekend getaway? The 2026 Jayco Jay Flight SLX 170BH.
Lightweight, just over 21 feet long, and easy to tow, it’s packed with everything you need a queen bed, bunks, a full bathroom, and a dinette. As Ashton puts it, it’s the perfect balance of “I’m outdoorsy” and “I still enjoy a real mattress and a hot shower.”
One RV feature Ashton thinks deserves more attention? The built-in pet bowls on certain Grand Design models like the 151BH. Under the couch, there’s a pull-out drawer with built-in food and water bowls for your furry travel companion. Why does he love it so much? Because after forgetting his dog’s bowl one camping trip and feeding her out of a frisbee all weekend… he learned his lesson the hard way 😅🐶
