Talk about an action shot!
Tegan is a Critical Care Paramedic for here in Thunder Bay and has been on the front lines throughout the pandemic. Tegan along with her colleagues have been a key part of managing our situation, transporting critically ill patients across Ontario.
Here is what she had to say about how her life has changed during the past 1.5 years:
Covid has been a really interesting experience for myself and others working at Ornge. While our day to day operations changed significantly, we also pivoted in many directions when there was a demand. I was fortunate enough to be a team lead during operation remote immunity, and will be going back into the communities shortly for the youth vacation operation.
I also had the humbling experience of working the surge operation to decant the Thunder Bay ICU when it was needed. While working during the pandemic has had its stressors, I think it’s been extremely awe inspiring to watch the frontline come together as a whole to take care of not only the citizens of Ontario, but each other.
