✨ A little fairy forest cottage has found its way into my workshop. ✨

This vintage jewelry cabinet was reimagined as an enchanted keepsake house, complete with woodland fairies, cardinal visitors, aged golden details, and tiny fairy doors hiding treasured memories within.

I love creating pieces that tell a story in the details 🧚🏡🪾.

One of the best parts of this creative journey is meeting amazing people along the way. 😊
I recently visited one of my favorite online suppliers Ninnys Napkins , met the owner, explored the shop, and saw so many beautiful materials up close. It was inspiring to connect with the business behind many of the papers I use in my creations.
Of course, I couldn’t leave empty-handed! So many gorgeous napkins, rice papers, and transfers—and plenty of inspiration for future projects. ✨
So nice meeting you, Nicole! You have a beautiful store - I’d be there daily if I was close by 😂

🧚‍♀️ New Makeover- The Keepsake Cottage

Nestled among the branches, watched over by cardinals and woodland fairies, this little cottage was created to hold life’s smallest treasures and most cherished memories.

A place for keepsakes, trinkets, and stories waiting to be remembered.

✨ “Every treasure holds a story.”

Looking back at Box 34 – Soft Pink Vintage “Slot Machine” Jewelry Box

I can’t be the only one who sees it… this jewelry box has always reminded me of a vintage slot machine or an old-fashioned cash register! 😂

For this makeover, I softened its unique shape with Dixie Belle Tea Rose, added beautiful floral transfers, raised stencil details, and finished everything with white wax and a satin topcoat for a romantic vintage feel.

I’ve been looking back through my earlier Jewelry Box Makeovers.

Looking back at Box33 – My First Commissioned Piece ✨

This jewelry box holds a special place in my makeover journey—it was my very first commissioned piece.

The client loved the style of the box and didn’t want an artistic makeover, just a richer, updated colour. After cleaning, sanding, and applying Dixie Belle No Pain Gel Stain in Espresso, the box was transformed from a dated oak finish into a timeless dark wood piece.

Looking back, it’s interesting to see where this journey started. No transfers, no decoupage, no fancy techniques—just listening to what the client wanted and delivering it.

Part of my Jewelry Box Makeovers series, where I’m sharing the evolution of my work one box at a time.

Looking back at Box 32 of my jewelry box series– Beach Vibes Turtle Box 🐢🌊

From a plain brown jewelry box to a coastal-inspired keepsake piece. This makeover featured soft sandy tones, raised texture details, and a beautiful sea turtle decoupage that instantly brought beach vibes to life.

✨ Painted in Dixie Belle Sand Bar
✨ Raised stencils with Dixie Belle Mud
✨ Aged with brown wax and highlighted with gold gilding wax
✨ Ciao Bella turtle rice paper on the lid

✨ A look back at Box 31– The One That Got a Second Chance ✨

This Bunker Hill Blue music box played Close to You by The Carpenters and featured Ciao Bella florals, raised stencil details, gold gilding wax, and new grey velvet lining.

The interesting part? This was the first jewelry box I ever completely redid after it didn’t sell.

At the time, I loved the rich blue and gold combination, but it never found its person. Rather than giving up on it, I eventually transformed it again into a completely different boho-inspired design.

And that version? It sold almost immediately on Etsy.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned through this journey is that sometimes a piece isn’t wrong—it just hasn’t found the right style yet.

💙 Stay tuned for Box #82 to see this box’s second makeover and its happy ending.

From smoky and dated to bright farmhouse charm. 🤍 ✨ Looking back at Project number 30.

This little hutch needed more than just paint—it needed a fresh start. After tackling the smoke odor with two coats of primer, I transformed it with Dixie Belle Fluff, soft distressing, brown and clear wax, black hardware, and new grey velvet.

✨ Looking back at my 29th Jewelry Box Makeover– Resin Heart Jewelry Box ✨

This little heart-shaped jewelry box marks another milestone in my jewelry box journey—my first time using resin to fill an inset area.

Up until this point, I had been experimenting with resin pours on flat surfaces, but this box challenged me to work inside the heart-shaped opening. I paired soft Vintage Duck Egg with colourful Ciao Bella florals and a glossy resin finish to create a piece that felt bright, fresh, and romantic.
Every new project seemed to introduce a new skill to learn.
