✨Eight Years of Gratitude and Growth ✨
For the past eight years, I’ve had the privilege of creating and sharing my handmade pieces with all of you. In 2020, the surge in support for handmade businesses was a game changer, allowing me to grow and explore new avenues—like hand-dyeing cord for other makers and expanding the jewelry side of my small business. I’ve been so fortunate to see my creations in amazing stores across Alberta, and I’m endlessly thankful for every customer who believed in my work.
But the journey hasn’t been without its challenges. The economic downturn in 2022 hit small businesses hard, and by 2024, sales had nearly disappeared. This year, the Canada Post strike during my busiest season was the final blow. As a rural maker, alternative shipping options are either unavailable or far too costly to sustain my business.
It’s with a heavy heart that I share this news: I will not be creating new pieces or taking custom orders moving forward. Over the next few months, I’ll post what I have left in stock, but this chapter is coming to a close.
Thank you to every single person who has supported me over the years. Your kindness, encouragement, and love for handmade have meant the world to me. I’m endlessly grateful for this journey, even as it comes to an end.
With love and gratitude,
Simone
