This and the next are my favourite new moons. 🌑. Here is a different look at it. Yet in our daily lives, it still means the same…
🌑✨Moon Phases - specifically the New Moon - and the Dying✨🌑
March 18th 2026 - Pisces New Moon
Everyone who works in health care, or as a first responder will tell you quite simply that there’s actually a really natural connection here, and one that cannot be ignored.
Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac, so every time a New Moon moves through Pisces, it carries this quiet “end of cycle” energy. Not abrupt endings, not sharp transitions, but a soft dissolving. Things blur, boundaries thin, and what’s underneath becomes easier to feel than what’s on the surface.
In end of life care, that same quality shows up all the time.
You might notice that people who are dying right now become quieter, more inward, less interested in conversation or the physical world, with this new moon. But at the same time, there can be a deepening of awareness. More symbolic language, more dreams, more moments of “seeing” or sensing something beyond what others in the room can perceive. It’s not chaotic energy like the full moon, it’s actually very fluid and intuitive.
From a spiritual perspective, the New Moon is where the veil is thinner.
Not in a dramatic way, but in a gentle, almost sacred way. There can be more synchronicities, more meaningful timing, more of those “we can’t explain it but we felt it” moments especially for those at bedside this week when someone seems to be both here and not fully here anymore.
The body may be slowing for some, but something else is opening.
What’s important is that Pisces energy with this New Moon does not push. It invites surrender. So in care this week it’s not a time for forcing clarity or trying to pull someone back into alertness. It’s a time for allowing, witnessing, and trusting the process that is unfolding.
