Our beautiful tree peony is now in bloom. This came from Ginkgo Footprints in Annan where they will be hosting their 12th Annual Garden Festival - Among the Peonies on June 12th and 13th. If you love peonies (over 350 varieties) and gardens in general, don't miss this event as it is only one week away.

We are now a member of the Ontario by Bike network. Our lavender farm provides the convenience of a washroom, bike rack, pump & repair kit, trail maps, cold drinks and a place to rest and relax. We even have some bunkies if you need a place to stay. So keep us in mind when you are planning your trip in Bruce County.

Lavender prefers a well drained soil that is slightly alkaline. The addition of crushed eggshells to the soil around your lavender plants provides calcium, improves drainage and reduces the acidity of your soil.

The Essentially Lavender Farm & Boutique will be closed on Saturday, May 30th as we will be at vendor at Springtime in the Gardens at Folmer Botanical Gardens and Garden Centre. Please visit our booth between 9am and 4pm. We will have a selection of our small batch, natural lavender products available for sale. We would love to see you. The Lavender Boutique will be open from 9am to 5pm on Friday, May 29th and Sunday, May 31st.
