Amazonite is known by its beautiful blue green colour. It is considered a type of sodium feldspar (rock forming silicate minerals).

It is widely seen in jewelry and home decor pieces due to its beautiful colour, named after the Amazon River and tropical rainforest.

It was worn by the ancient Egyptians and has what some believe are healing and spiritual qualities.

Amazonstone is a type of microcline (seen above), which can range from colourless to blue, green, pink, yellow, etc. It is a form of potassium aluminosilicate that occurs in ingenious rocks. The microperthites separate the sodium and potassium into minute crystals.
