Meadow House & Co. is an independently owned, thoughtfully curated shop in the heart of downtown Sussex. Located in the historic Mercantile Block, we bring together a distinctive mix of vintage and antique finds, pre-loved clothing, original art, folk art, and goods for the home, alongside locally made products and everyday provisions. Our offering reflects an appreciation for craftsmanship, history, creativity, and the simple pleasures of rural living. We bring together old and new in a way that reflects the character of our region and encourages a more thoughtful approach to shopping. More than a place to shop, Meadow House & Co. is a welcoming space for people to browse, connect, and discover something unexpected. We spent the day getting the shop all tidied up and ready for a little something happening tomorrow. 🤎

Our friend Tia Fennelly | Moncton Wedding & Portrait Photographer is coming by to take some branding photos of us and the shop, and I think it’s about time you got to know the faces behind Meadow House a little better.

We’re coming up on six months of being open, which is a milestone we’ve been meaning to take a moment to appreciate. In some ways, it feels like we just opened the doors, and in others, it feels like we’ve been here much longer.

So much of our time goes into finding things, bringing them home, arranging the shop, and getting everything ready for you to wander through. We haven’t shared as much of the people and everyday life behind it all, but we’d love to do a little more of that.

We’re so glad you’re here, and we’re looking forward to letting you in on a little more of the world behind Meadow House. ☺️

A little change of plans for tomorrow 🤍

We’re so sorry, but due to some unforeseen circumstances, Meadow House & Co. will be closed tomorrow, Thursday, October 15.

This is never an easy decision to make as a small business owner, and we sincerely apologize to anyone who may have been planning to stop by. We know it can be disappointing to arrive in town or plan a visit only to find us closed, and we’re truly sorry for any inconvenience.

If you were hoping to come wander with us tomorrow, we would love to welcome you on Friday instead. We’ll be back to our regular hours, 10–5, and look forward to seeing you then.

Happy Thanksgiving weekend! 🍂

If you have family or friends visiting for the long weekend, bring them along for a wander through Meadow House. It’s always lovely to welcome new faces and share a little of what we have here in Sussex.

We’ll be here with good tunes playing and plenty to browse, from old finds and fall favourites to a few things for the home, the wardrobe and the pantry.
