I worked in corporate most of my life before emigrating to Canada in 2020, arriving just before the pandemic shut the borders. The massive change that emigration brought prompted me to to create Messy Meerkat Studios. The business is registered in BC. I love tactile media and creating with my hands.

This memory popped up today on my Facebook feed from way back in 2020. People often ask me how, when and why I got started with resin. Basically, I was trying to make mosaic tiles in various shapes in resin to continue my MOSAIC journey. An old injury prevents me from extended periods of cutting and shaping glass. I made those tiles, and it just went from there. I've included for you, a pic of that time I flash cured a whole jug of resin - rookie mistake! No resin journey is complete without various hair-pulling, anxiety-inducing stuff-ups!
We all have to start somewhere eh! Laterz.
