If you were on Main Street yesterday near the high school and saw a black Bronco slam on its brakes, followed by a frantic woman jumping out of the car and yelling… that was me. 😂🐝
If you’ve been following my page, you know I’ve had a bee situation at the store. Today was no exception—I managed to move at least 18 bees outside! We also sealed up a potential crack where they were getting in, so hopefully that’s the end of that. 🤞
I left work around 4, feeling a little skittish after spending the entire day with bees. As I was getting into my car, I thought I saw one out of the corner of my eye, but figured I was just being paranoid.
Two blocks later, I looked down and saw a nice, big bumblebee crawling up my chest.
I did NOT handle it well. 😂
Some might say I panicked.
I slammed on the brakes (it’s a school zone—I was only going 30) and tried to open my window. In my panic, I couldn’t seem to get the driver’s window open… only the back one. 🤦♀️
So naturally, I opened the door, undid my seatbelt and was about to hop out of the car when I realized…
THE CAR WAS STILL IN DRIVE. 😳
I threw it into park and jumped out in the middle of Main Street.
My little bumblebee took that opportunity to fly off my chest—and directly back into my car.
So there I am, standing in the middle of Main Street, car door wide open, yelling at a bee:
“NO! NO! NO! YOU CAN’T GO BACK IN THERE!!” 😂🐝
Fortunately, he listened. He flew back out, continued on his merry little way, and left me standing there questioning every decision that had led me to that moment.
I got back in my car and finally resumed my trip home.
I think I’ve had enough bees for one week. 😂🐝
