As Lovey Collected continues to grow, I’ve realized how important it is to keep things simple, consistent, and easy to understand.

I’ve created a Shoppe Etiquette guide to help answer some common questions and ensure a smooth experience for everyone. It reflects the way I guide Lovey Collected — thoughtfully, respectfully, and with appreciation for both the treasures I find and the people who welcome them into their homes.

And, there is one additional note I’d like to share. 🧡

From time to time, I receive messages asking where I sourced a specific piece. Out of respect for the individuals and families who have entrusted me with their treasures, I don’t share those details.

Many of the items I collect come from personal homes, estates, downsizing sales, and family collections. Even a simple yard sale often represents a lifetime of memories, stories, and connections. I believe they deserve privacy and respect.

A really quick look at my treasure trove from this morning’s estate sale. When I arrived, they apologized and told me it had been very picked over. It’s okay. I forgive you.

Because what I found waiting for me were treasures like these:

• My very first ironstone pitcher
• An antique silver plated porridge bowl
• Antique berry baskets
• A fabulous green parrot creamer
• A basket full of whimsical egg cups
• A hen on nest jam jar
• A Blue Ribbon Goose pitcher
• An aqua Crown canning jar
• Four Wedgwood Aster plates in the prettiest shade of blue
• Vintage rolling pins, baskets, platters, pitchers, mugs, pretty vintage lemon juice bottles, books, and other kitchen treasures

The fun thing about estate sales is that everyone is looking for something different. Some people are searching for the rarest or most valuable item in the room.

Sometimes the best finds are the ones everyone else walks past. And sometimes a sale that’s “picked over” still has plenty of treasures waiting for the right person to find them.

Father’s Day Collection #6 ⛵️

Designed and crafted in California by John and Don DeMott in 1975, each sculpture was individually handcrafted from brass, copper, and steel, then mounted on imported onyx. The sweeping sail, graceful seabird detail, and natural stone base give it a timeless, sculptural presence that feels just as at home today as it did nearly 50 years ago.

I love that it still carries its original tag—a small piece of history that confirms where it came from and the hands that created it.

Although in need of a light polish I am most impressed by that red bird… oxidized in the best way… and the patina of the mast is perfection in my eyes. 😍
