The Charity SewDay to make quilts for Ronald McDonald House is a go. Friday September 30, 2022 at Calvary United Church 48 Hawkesville Rd. St Jacobs from 10 to 4 in the gym. The kit cost is $40 and can be paid the day of the event. The kits include the fabric, batting, backing, binding and pattern. The kits need to be ordered by September 16, to ensure that they arrive on time. Please email ([email protected]) message or call (519 664-7572) to register so that the appropriate number of kits (and lunch) are ordered. Lunch will be provided. Please bring your sewing machine and sewing supplies. Ironing boards, irons, pressing spray, cutting mats, rulers and rotary cutters will be supplied.

Considering organizing a Charity Sew Day to make quilts for Ronald McDonald House sponsored by Trendex. The cost would be $40 for the quilt kit which includes everything you need to make the quilt during the day including the fabric, batting, backing, pattern and lunch.

Timing would be late September early October (not on a Wednesday) . I have made arrangements to use a local church gym for the day, if there is enough interest. The location has lots of parking, good lighting, space and no stairs.

Looking for a sense of interest in participating to see if this could move forward.

It’s now or never - SJQC will be closing the end of July. All merchandise is 20% off. Here are some answers to some commonly asked questions - no more fabric will be coming, the minimum cut is 1 metre and if there is less than a metre left, you take that too - the mission is empty shelves!! In store give always continue and change daily.

Happy Canada Day!! SJQC will be closed for the Canada Day weekend closing June 30 at 5pm and reopening Tuesday July 5 at 10 am.

What I have been able to manage, has gone well, but the lasting effects of COVID have proven unsustainable.
