It is with heavy hearts that we share some news with our wonderful community. After much consideration, we have made the difficult but important decision to close the doors of The Nook Refillery.
When we opened The Nook, we wanted to create a space for people to learn about and lean further into a sustainable lifestyle. We wanted to make it easy and fun to make meaningful change. The love we put into this space was both exhausting and incredibly rewarding.
The opening of our doors also marked the arrival of a tiny human and the news of another on the way. Over the last year and a half, we have made enormous sacrifices that, albeit being necessary at the time, have had big impacts on our lives. As mothers, we want to be able to do it all - run the business we poured our hearts into and be there for all the firsts that life brings. Our choice to close The Nook is an incredibly emotional one, but one we feel certain we must make.
While we would love to keep pushing onward, the closing of our doors allows us time to regroup. It gives us time to breathe after enduring the struggles of the ongoing staffing shortage and a moment to reflect on our successes from the last year and a half. The connections we have made with our community are immeasurable and your ongoing support has kept us pushing on for as long as we have. We will remember the inevitable expression of βit smells so good in hereβ upon arrival, the meaningful conversations shared among complete strangers and the genuine curiosity to show up and learn.
This is not goodbye, but a necessary pause. We invite all of you to come and celebrate this chapter of The Nook this week. Please stop in, say hello and bring a bottle to refill.
Our last day in store will be July 17th. We will be running a closing sale starting tomorrow with everything at 15% off.
