Today we have 3 brand new pairs of men's western boots for sale!

Rocky western roper boots with Ride Comfort system. Size 11W. Brand new in box (box shows minor wear at corners). $160 obo

Vintage Panhandle Slim black lizard boots. Labelled size 12 but may fit more like an 11. Brand new in box, but box is quite worn from being in storage. Originally $500, asking $400 open to offers.

I have an English saddle here that was brought to my shop yesterday for consignment. However, after inspection, I cannot sell it as it is unusable. It is very old and has been in storage a long time. The leather is stiff and brittle. The panels have gone crunchy. The billets are dry and unsafe. After discussing with the owner, they have agreed to either trash it or give it away.

So, if anyone wants it for experimenting on the leather, practicing leatherwork, dissecting it, or whatever please let me know. Again, it is NOT safe for use on a horse. And it is not worth repairing everything needed to make it rideable. But if you want it for a project please let me know. It may be interesting for a riding school to take apart and show kids what the inside of a saddle looks like!

West Coast Tack and Consignment will be hosting an online auction!

We don't have an exact date set yet, but it will most likely start mid to late may. The auction will run for at least 1 full week, which gives bidders plenty of time to ask questions or request additonal photos, measurements, etc.

This will be an online event. Winning bidders will have the choice to pick up their items in person or have them shipped.

There will be over 100 items listed in the auction!! English and western - everything from saddles, bridles, bits, other tack, casual riding and show clothes, horse blankets, saddle pads, boots, halters, and so much more.

There will also be some fun little games and contests within the auction, for a chance to win gift certificates that can be used towards auction items or regular inventory.

Please keep an eye on the page, we will be posting an exact date soon. It will be alot of fun!

We have been quiet for a while, due to many big changes happening both with the store and with our lives. Stay tuned - tomorrow there will be an announcement about an upcoming event we are hosting, as well as info regarding our new location and how the store will be operating in the future.

We have a small selection of blankets ready at our new location in Sooke. Technically we are still closed due to the recent move, but the shop's blanket inventory has been unpacked as we've had several people contact us looking for one due to this weather. We don't have a ton of them left, but there a few fleece coolers that would work well as liners, a couple quilts, rainsheets, and some winter blankets. Most are sized between 74 to 80, and prices range from $10 to $100.

November 20 is our last day open for a little while. Starting on the 21st we will be packing to move. Anticipated re-opening date will be some time in the 2nd week of December.

During those 3 weeks I will do my best to help customers online, but I cannot guarantee being able to do so quickly.

In order to minimize the amount of items that need to be packed, a large selection of our inventory is open to offers from now until the 20th. We still have some nice blankets and rain sheets in stock. Tons of saddles, bridles, girths, and other tack. And a nice assortment of riding clothes and show clothes too! We even still have some stable supplies left.

West Coast Tack will be closed September 4 to September 18, while we prepare to get our new website up and running. Last day of shipping until we reopen is september 3, so please contact us before then if you need anything.

It is going to be alot of work to redo photos, write descriptions, and enter shipping info for the hundreds of items we have in stock, but the finished website will be worth it. It will be much easier to navigate than the page, and our customers will be able to make purchases directly from the site. Very exciting times!!

We are also hoping to sell as many items as possible before then, as that would mean less items to add to the website! We have tons of things that aren't currently up on our fb page, including lots of breeches, English show shirts and jackets, tall boots, half chaps and paddock boots, cowboy boots, western chaps, casual clothes, oilskin jackets, saddle pads, English bridles (schooling and show), western headstalls (schooling and show), bits, reins, martingales, girths, cinches... and more!! If you're looking for anything please send a message with items and sizes needed, and we will send photos.
