ARREST MADE IN SIMCOE FI****MS BUSINESS BREAK AND ENTER:
The Haldimand/Norfolk Community Street Crime Unit continued to investigate this incident and on June 13, 2022, officers with the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement Team (ROPE), arrested 30-year-old Ty William MILLER at a residence located in Mississauga, Ontario.
The accused was subsequently transported to the Norfolk County OPP Detachment by the OPP Offender Transport Unit and faces the following charges:
• Break and enter to steal firearm,
• Possession of weapon obtained by commission of offence,
• Unauthorized possession of a firearm, and
• Possession contrary to order.
They are being held in custody and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located in Simcoe on June 14, 2022, at 1:30 p.m.
The investigation is continuing.
Original Post: On Sunday, April 3, 2022, at approximately 12:51 a.m., the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment responded to a commercial break and enter located at a Queensway West, Simcoe, Norfolk County address.
It was determined that an unknown individual forcibly gained entry into the business and removed a number of fi****ms.
