Our farm workers and families need our help. We are collecting items to send directly to their families.

Hurricane Melissa was the worst hurricane to hit Jamaica 🇯🇲

Items are being shipped directly to our local farm worker families this week. Drop off by Nov 8 before 5pm, please drop off any of the following items to Cider Keg Farm Market:
-Dried beans and rice
-First aid supplies, sanitation & hygiene products
-Shelter items like tarps & mats
-Things for kids: backpacks, art supplies.

Friendly reminder, we're closed until Monday. Please do not leave donations outside. People trash what's out there and drag stuff all over the street. I am already scheduling donation appointments for next week. If you really need immediate relief of your goods, there are donation bins all over Simcoe and you can also try for scheduled pick up...

A lot of people are still asking if "that sale is still on". Yes! Until further notice, which might not ever happen. Others are still asking if we take donations. Some people get very specific. We accept everything clean, unbroken except for bedbugs! That also might never change. Please share this so your friends will also know! We're still getting lots of great donations so there's always something different in the store!

I was just telling someone about this, yesterday. Since this post, we can rarely keep track of what comes in. It just seems like daily tsunamis! Thankfully, we've had a lot of help with it, lately, too!!!

We're back to taking large items again! 😊 Calling ahead isn't always necessary but definitely helpful and appreciated!!! So far, that one trailer load is all we've rejected and of course with very heavy hearts.

Amazing! The generous support from our community, whether donations of food or goods, or from those who financially support us or even pay it forward for others, you are Amazing! Today, there are a lot of items scheduled to go out the door, either for free or at very low cost. There truly aren't many other options available for those who can't afford more. We get customers who sleep on the street or on the floor. We have some who simply need food or water. I make phone calls or offer my phone or address for those who need a contact person. We do everything we can to help anyone we can! I could never have imagined the impact one little store can have, not just locally but even on the global community! We have baby clothes leaving the country, shortly! I am amazed and I am so grateful!!! 🌼 and by the end of the weekend, we might have a fairly empty store! Lol, it's almost impossible to know what's ahead! If you do have donations to bring, next Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday might be best!
