Mary's River, a world-renowned Atlantic salmon stream in Atlantic Canada. Our specialties are quality products, services, and art for the fly fisher, fly tier, or collector, inspired by Nova Scotia's rich angling tradition. Nova Scotia’s name means “New Scotland”, so our tradition is deeply rooted in Europe and the British Isles, where Victorian times produced the gorgeous Atlantic salmon flies of
the “classic” period. We import tradition and some raw materials, but all of our modern fishing flies and traditional classic Atlantic salmon flies are hand-tied in Nova Scotia. You can order our own products, such as the Nova Scotia Classic fly, in this website. Sportfish include Atlantic salmon, speckled & brown trout (including the larger sea-run varieties), shad, and striped bass in the surf. River Magic has the exclusive right to manufacture, market and sell all official Nova Scotia Classic fly products. The official fly of Nova Scotia was designed and tied by Bill Carpan in 2006.
