Or**sm at 82.
If I can stay open and unafraid of the threatening onslaught
and just stand defenseless in its path,
I will be washed under when the wave hits
and will play with the energy bursts as if toeing crescendo after crescendo
and letting the organ rock me with that wave,
and that wave,
and the next.

Swirls do not flow along lines
but bloom in the moment of my mind
and manifest like fireflies.
A contraction of calves or toes,
the muscles of my jaw.

Now it is my scalp
constricting and squirting fire
that flows into the centre:
that place inside my ass
where muscles converse in bundles.

A bar filled with jostling patrons
hungering for love, reaching out in a wavy sort of unison.
Clutching the way an anemone surrounds the clown when all that chaos has simply become too much.

But it’s when core and c**k connect that spark the strongest constrictions and exhaust me.

I must start letting go, honouring each after-shock
until it is satisfied that I’ve felt it.
I must let it have the last goodbye for if I pull even gently on the reins,
it is contractions all over again.

The first report I got from a guy who stayed on Pine Island was that the storm surge was about the same as the previous hurricane. If so, that would mean we escaped the storm of the water and have yet to get messages of the storm of the wind. (From digging a few layers in. to the local network.)

Just took ½ hour walk into those woods. I felt so separated. I was surrounded by the forest but by nothing human. Not a desk I might be sitting at, or a fridge I might be opening.
Not the fresh strip of macadam along highway 124 that kept us boxed in for a while down here in the valley, but now is smooth and new and black.
So, I felt a sense of separateness and gratitude for the privilege of that experience and honored to share it with others.

The time is near for our annual fall hike at The Log House in the Mulmur Hills beside the Bruce Trail and Pine River Fishing Park. Everyone is invited, those who trek throu

.................Polycamp

It is Sunday evening and the last few Polycamp stragglers have backed out the driveway, swung left and nosed down the 2nd Line to home. It isn’t easy to describe what happens at at these gatherings. Sometimes I’ll read, “It was a powerful experience, people shared.” What does that tell me? Isn’t it always?

Other times though, I’ll be hit by a painting of the gathering on the face of a friend, and know when they say it was powerful, that there were break-throughs.

If you could see my face as I tell you it was a powerful weekend, you would know there were break-throughs.

Stan Dale sometimes likened a breakthrough to the tiger and the hoop of fire. The finale of a big cat act was when the Tamer, in a battle of dominance, forces, threatens and argues the Tiger to jump through a hoop of fire. The story is that tigers are terrified of fire.

True or not, in the centre ring the two fight this duel of whips and shouts vs fangs and roars. Only a fool would put odds on the scrawny Tamer against 400 pounds with iron jaws, but big surprise, the Tamer wins and the Tiger, despite all the fearsome anger, despite that a loss would mean a return to its cage with a hunk of a cow, and a bed of straw… jumps through the hoop, defeated.

But the moral of the story is what happens after the jump, when it is the Tiger who wins, having discovered there was nothing to be afraid of.

And sometimes the break-through opens a door to a garden of discovery. Those are the breakthroughs that taste the sweetest, the ones you are honoured to have been a part of.
