Join us as we use decorative quilt artist Deborah Louie fantastic book: Machine Magic, on how to use the stitch options on your machine and incorporate them into gorgeous applique pieces. Join us as we build and add decorative stitches to individual flowers using different thread weights, unique colors before applying them to the background with free-motion decorative stitching. Learn how to combine stitches and adjust stitch widths and lengths to create your unique stitch garden. Gain confidence in using your machine while also creating a unique work of art with her bright and bold floral creations!

Available Online & In Person

Ready to learn how to sew? This beginner-friendly class is perfect for anyone with little or no sewing experience. Participants will be introduced to the basics of sewing in a supportive, hands-on environment while building the skills and confidence needed to complete simple sewing projects. Throughout the course, you'll learn how to safely operate a sewing machine, identify and use essential sewing tools, understand fabric types and terminology, practice basic stitching techniques, and sew accurate seams and hems. You'll also learn how to read simple patterns and develop foundational skills that can be applied to future sewing projects. Whether your goal is to mend clothing, create home décor, make handmade gifts, or begin sewing your own garments, this class provides a strong foundation for continued learning. By the end of the course, you'll have completed beginner projects and gained the confidence to continue sewing independently.

No prior sewing experience is required. All beginners are welcome.
