Another day on the picket line and what do we have to show for it? We are now #10 in funding of education in Canada. Yet, another failed budget by the Saskatchewan Party!
On the picket line today, a teaching colleague told me that Premier Moe said in an interview recently that he is not afraid of binding arbitration. Excellent! I welcome Mr. Moe's courage to step up and immediately call for binding arbitration to resolve the critical issue of class size and complexity with an independent arbiter. If he does not do this, we know he is not capable of telling the truth to the students and parents of Saskatchewan and he is single handedly responsible for the loss of sporting and musical opportunities for the students of Saskatchewan. Simply put, it is a question of whether Scott Moe and the Saskatchewan Party care enough about our children's education, their future and our shared future together as the result of his actions or inaction. What is it going to be Premier Moe? Do you or don't you believe in the children and students of Saskatchewan? Party Teachers' Federation Jeremy Cockrill, MLA for The Battlefords Scott Moe
