Ever notice some cannabis stores are starting to feel a little less like a neighbourhood shop and a little more like a shiny tech showroom?

White walls. Glowing counters. Everything looking just a little too polished.

There might be a reason for that.

Across Saskatchewan, some stores that look independent are actually part of much larger retail networks. Different signs, same corporate umbrella.

And hey, big stores can do their thing. No hard feelings.

But we do think people deserve to know the difference between a shop that is locally owned and one that is simply located here.

At The Shack, we’re proud to be Saskatchewan-grown, independent, and part of the communities we serve.

Winter still has a few tricks up its sleeve, and this one’s worth circling on the calendar

Nutrien WinterShines is on the way, Feb 14–21, and it’s shaping up to be a pretty great way to spend Family Day together. Ice sculptures, sleigh rides, scavenger hunts, and that cozy winter magic that reminds you Saskatoon actually does winter really well sometimes.

We’re not affiliated with the event, but we love seeing the city come alive in the colder months and wanted to help spark a little excitement. It’s something to look forward to, something to bundle up for, and a solid excuse to make some winter memories with the people you love.
