Angelica Ashley is a Filipino-Canadian author who was born in Vancouver, BC and grew up in Nipawin, SK. She currently lives in Saskatoon, SK where she is pursuing her dreams of writing and owning her own bookshop. She enjoys writing modern day tragedies and poetry inspired by her own personal experiences. Angelica has always been passionate about writing since high school as she was a dedicated member of her school's drama club as an actor, and later on, as a playwright, and director.

Now her dreams are about the future of this silly pop-up bookshop that she created to see her own self-published books. But as always with her, one thing let to another and now she has a variety of goods to sell. From bookmarks to keychains, her stuff is silly, fun, and at times, very unhinged.

Not afraid to say what she thinks, her work reflects her opinions on many topics from silly to serious, she's gonna put it on a keychain.

A survivor of sexual assault she proudly donates half of all profits made from her poetry books to the Saskatoon Sexual Assault Information Centre and will take every opportunity she can to support her community to make the world a better place to exist in.

Angelica is a proud pansexual Filipino second-gen immigrant cis woman with a dream that her little shop will be a safe space for all who seek sweet treats, trinkets, and a book to read.

Supported by her friends, family, and most of all her partner Rowan, who shares 25% of the company and wants nothing more than to see it become a real physical shop.

NEW COVER ART FOR "where do we go from here?" COMING SOON!

pre-order the new version on my website linked in our bio!

Angelica Ashley's fourth collection of poetry.

this poetry book was written by a

woman whose life has changed in so

many ways in so little time.

A collection of thoughts she has had

navigating a life that feels

so unfamiliar to her.

In the best way, she doesn't know

what is next.

Full of questions and frustration

trying to figure it all out.

Sitting at a crossroads of pursuing

her dreams or being content with

being comfortable

Where do we go from here?

TW: SA

I was assaulted multiple times by my first boyfriend when I was 15-16 years old. It took me a long time to be able to accept that my experience was real and valid. It wasn't like the stories I had heard about r**e. I didn't report as I didn't know that what was happening was wrong.

Today, I share that I am survivor of sexual assault.
I live with PTSD, Severe Anxiety, and Depression .
I am healing. I am safe. I am loved.

If you, or someone you love relates to my story,
here are some resources:

Thank you for reading.

Hope you are healing and safe.

With love,
Angelica Ashley
