By bringing together art, research, and advocacy, Building Home signals the importance youth have in our communities and our commitment to build better futures for young people across the province. Youth have a right to housing that respects their agency and meets their needs.
Cassandra Monette has a passion for blending art, research, and youth work together to create impact. She is dedicated to amplifying youth voice through arts-based storytelling and understands the influence narratives can have on identity and community membership.
Harriet Taylor has had a long career in the arts as teacher, administrator and practitioner. Recently she has found purpose in channeling her creativity into advocacy for change and social action through art.
Emily Blair is a weaver and cultural worker based in unsurrendered and unceded traditional Wolastoqey land, known as Fredericton, New Brunswick. Blair’s work involves woven pattern design, textile based installations, and multi-media collaborations.
Charles Harding is a sound artist residing in Fredericton, NB. He has over a decade of experience in music composition and facilitation, focusing on computer-based music creation.
