🐴 A shout-out to Peninsula Hay Sales! 💚

The horses of the RCMP Musical Ride are very well cared for by the riders and their team - and when it comes to keeping these beautiful equine athletes happy and well fed, only the good stuff will do!

A huge thank you to Peninsula Hay Sales for providing great-quality hay and absolutely fantastic customer service during the Musical Ride’s stay at the Saanich Fairgrounds.

When we realized we needed some extra hay for the horses, they were incredibly responsive and had more delivered to us in lightning-quick time. That kind of local service makes all the difference, especially when you have a barn full of very important four-legged guests to look after! 🐴❤️🇨🇦

Thank you, Peninsula Hay Sales, for helping us take such good care of our special visitors. We truly appreciated it!

🎨🌻 What are YOU entering in the 2026 Saanich Fair? 🥕📸

The Fair is getting closer, and now is the perfect time to take a look around your garden, kitchen, workshop, craft room or camera roll and decide what you could enter this year!

Maybe your dahlias are looking spectacular. 🌸
Maybe you have a favourite pickle or jam recipe.
Maybe you’ve grown a particularly impressive tomato. 🍅
Taken a photo you love? Baked something delicious? Created a quilt, painting, craft or piece of handiwork you’re proud of?
Enter it in the Fair!

You don’t have to be an expert, and you certainly don’t have to enter dozens of things. Pick a class (or a few!) and give it a try. First-time exhibitors are always very welcome, and seeing the incredible variety of entries from our community is one of the things that makes the Saanich Fair so special.

There are 19 exhibit departments and hundreds of classes for children, youth and adults - so there are plenty of opportunities to join in.

🏆 And yes… there are ribbons, prizes and bragging rights to be won!

It was our great honour to welcome Central Saanich Police Chief Constable Ian Lawson as our Guest of Honour for the RCMP Musical Ride at the Saanich Fairgrounds.

Chief Constable Lawson received the ceremonial salute from the RCMP Musical Ride, a special tradition and a memorable way to begin the performance.

The North & South Saanich Agricultural Society is very grateful for the strong relationship we share with the Central Saanich Police Service. Their support and partnership are so important to us - not only during the Saanich Fair and special events, but throughout the year as we work together to welcome thousands of people to the Fairgrounds safely.

🎉 SOLD OUT - AGAIN! 🇨🇦🐴

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that our additional Sunday performance of the RCMP Musical Ride is now SOLD OUT!

The response from our community to the Musical Ride has been incredible, and we can’t thank you enough for your enthusiasm and support.

A VERY special thank you to the RCMP Musical Ride for so generously offering to put on an additional performance for us in response to the overwhelming demand. We are incredibly grateful to the riders, staff and everyone involved for helping us give even more members of our community the opportunity to experience this iconic Canadian tradition.

Three sold-out shows in one weekend… ❤️🇨🇦🐴

At this point, we’re wondering: do you think we could convince them to just stay in residence at the Saanich Fairgrounds? You know… like the Vegas shows. 😉😂

We really appreciated everyone’s patience and cooperation as we parked cars and exited on Friday. Due to the overwhelming response from our community, the RCMP Musical Ride has very generously offered to present a THIRD performance at the Saanich Fairgrounds!

If you missed out on getting tickets for the first two shows, here's your chance to experience one of Canada's most iconic equestrian performances.
