Hey Everyone,
I’m helping organize a Vendor/Craft Sale for the Rossburn Chamber of Commerce & Dukefest for their Bring on Summer Event on June 22nd in Rossburn. (Plus street bingo, entertainment and more that day). If you are interested in booking a table - text me at 859-0028. ❤️

Reminder there is no Vintage Market planned for this year (2022).

The market takes a lot of pre-planning and organizing. With the easing of restrictions, I felt this May Long was just too soon to properly prepare. I don’t like to plan last minute or feel like I had to throw it together, and I want to do it right. Plus it’s requires a lot of volunteer help.

Right now, I am just focusing on re-opening my Gone Scrappin' in Bloom - Rossburn, Manitoba store more fully for this Spring/Summer.

Hoping for no unknown hitches next spring, hoping Covid restrictions are actually behind us, and we can safely host once again on May Long 2023!! Save the date! ❤️😉

We may not be able to have the market this May long but our store is open. With limited capacity. ❤️

It’s been awhile since I posted, and hope you are all safe and healthy.

I was really holding out hope until the last minute that we could go ahead with the Vintage Market and things would improve after Easter.

Unfortunately, we are officially announcing the market is postponed again until next May long. Insert giant sad and frustrated sigh. 😢

The provincial rules haven’t increased indoor gathering numbers and hearing that there may be more restrictions announced...

There are a lot more factors that went into this decision. But the biggest two factors are:
With the restricted size of capacity to fit in the hall, we would have to cut vendors (who have already guaranteed their spots) by 50-75% and much less shopper limits. Our old beautiful hall is just too small during Covid to be feasible for anyone to go ahead. I don’t want to cancel any vendors and how do you make those choices of who stays and who goes. I love all of my vendors and they deserve equal support. Add in my concern that most of my volunteers are local seniors not yet vaccinated.

There are still so many policies switching back and forth. I don’t want to be setting my hopes on a September market either. We are all exhausted and frustrated with Covid, but it’s just not the right time for our market to be held.

I sincerely hope next May long is a go, and with Covid regulating and operating within, at the very least, a new normal routine and can accommodate all of my vendors 100% and shoppers inside.

So hopefully 2022 is a fresh slate! Please mark your calendars for Saturday, May 21, 2022. I will be sharing any vendors posts throughout the seasons. So please support them! Most offer shipping or online purchases.

Thank you for understanding and your support!

Lots of hugs,
Kel ❤️

This is the post I’ve been dreading as it hurts my heart, but is the right choice. We did try to postpone until September, and taking in a culmination of a ton of hard choices and info, to make this decision, our market will just have to wait until next May! I have the best vendors, who have been so supportive and understanding! The main big factors are that
A. Health policies are changing daily, weekly, monthly, and fall brings so much unknown and worry for everyone.
B. Our volunteers are primarily seniors, I worry about their heath, my vendors health and my immune-compromised family. T1D is at risk and I have 2 at home.
C. I won’t cut my vendors by more than half to fit indoor event requirements. Who do I keep and who do I cancel when they’ve all secured their spots? They are all equally important.

Covid is a blip in our market life. In the grand scheme of things, everyone’s health and safety are more important right now than our market and the market can wait. I know our world has changed forever. Some health policies are here to stay - which is good, but I’m hoping by May 2021, whatever remains, will be part of a way of life, routine and not constantly changing. Easier for community events to navigate and host. Though I was secretly excited for a fall market. I love fall. 😉
Looking forward to the future, please, mark your calendars for Saturday, May 22, 2021, to come help support all my amazing vendors and send kids to the T1D summer kids camp.
We are taking names of anyone who is attending D-Camp next year (within a 100km radius of Rossburn), so if you know anyone, please send them our way so we can arrange camp refunds after our market or give them info about camp. ❤️
If you would like to be added to our waiting list of vendors, please message me.
Enjoy the rest of your summer!
❤️ Kel

Today would have been our annual GSIB Handmade & Vintage Market. This is a first May Long in a long time that we’ve had no plans and it’s already shaping up to be a beautiful weekend weather wise. We are hoping to open up the camper tomorrow. For now we do have our alternate date scheduled as Sept 26th, while we see how events and the world still slowly unfold to a normal. Next year our May long event will hopefully be back on track. We miss seeing and visiting with all of our vendors and attendees. But for now, we hope everyone enjoys their May long, getting plenty of sunshine and fresh air. Happy crafting when you can! Sending lots of hugs to all our makers and attendees! ❤️

Happy Mother’s Day to all the amazing women out there! Enjoy your day! 🥰💐 ~Kel

Hello Everyone,

This is a completely unprecedented time right now as we all try to navigate this unknown world while we all cope with the pandemic. And it seems everything is changing hourly/daily.

I have had the most supportive and understanding vendors during this difficult time.

In the best interests of health and safety of everyone, I have made the hard decision to postpone the market until Saturday, Sept 26th.

Looking at the positive, with this new date, we plan to celebrate the end to a great summer that hopefully is spent among friends, and look forward to a beautiful fall. Next year we will hopefully be back on track to our original May long event.
I do love fall! 🌻

So please, mark your calendars for Saturday, Sept. 26th, to come help support all my amazing vendors and send kids to the T1D summer kids camp.

We are taking names of anyone who is attending D-Camp this year (within a 100km radius of Rossburn), so if you know anyone, please send them our way so we can arrange camp refunds after our market. ❤️

PS:
1. If you see an old poster around, please remove. I’m working on ordering new posters. 😘
2. We still have a few tables available downstairs and outside if you are interested. 😉

Thank you!
Kel
