Somewhere along the way, we’ve been convinced that more chemicals, more fragrance, more colors, and more ingredients somehow equals better.

But real soap has been around for thousands of years.
Olive oil. Coconut oil. Shea butter. Herbs. Clays. Botanicals.

Simple ingredients that cleanse your skin without coating it in synthetic detergents and mystery fragrances.

What we put on our bodies matters.

That’s one of the reasons I started making soap in the first place. ❤️

Less junk. More ingredients from nature.

What do you look for most when buying soap?

The one phrase that almost guarantees I’ll do it...
and probably do it well. 😏

Quit university after your Master’s degree and take a completely different path?
“That’s foolish.”

Move to the country?
“You know how much work that is.”

Homeschool your kids?
“They’ll be weird.”

Start a business making all-natural soaps?
“No one will buy that.”

Start another business from a product that changed your life.
“That’s cringe.”

Speak your mind about things you believe in and stand for?
“People won’t like you.”

Maybe.

But I’ve learned that some of the best decisions I’ve ever made looked foolish to people who couldn’t see the vision.

Most people aren’t trying to stop you because they know you’ll fail.

They’re trying to stop you because they would never do it themselves.

The people who build lives they love aren’t the ones who waited for approval.

They’re the ones who did it anyway.

So when someone says, “You can’t do that,”
a little voice in my head says,

“Watch me.” ✨

Cathedral Village Arts Festival was a slice ✨❤️

So grateful to everyone who came out to support us, chat, shop, smell soaps, ask questions, and just connect 🫶🏻

There’s something so special about being surrounded by local artists, creators, music, good energy, and community.

Also this is the ONLY photo I got of myself and I look half asleep 😂🙃

Which honestly feels pretty accurate after prepping for the event all week.

But truly… thank you. Supporting small businesses means more than people realize 🤍

Just trying to eat a snack in peace but my brain is over here planning content, thinking of new products, answering imaginary DMs, and coming up with 17 new business ideas at once 💭😂

No one talks about how hard it can be to actually switch off as a business owner.

The truth is…
small businesses can’t survive trying to compete with mass-produced prices 👀

When something is handmade, intentionally created, high quality, toxin-conscious, ethically sourced, or made in small batches…
you’re not just paying for the product.

You’re helping keep a business alive 🤍

Because behind every small business is:
✨ supply costs
✨ packaging
✨ website fees
✨ markets + vendor fees
✨ shipping materials
✨ equipment
✨ endless hours of work
✨ learning, testing + creating
✨ and an actual human trying to build a life from something they love

A business has to be priced in a way that allows it to continue operating, growing, and serving people sustainably.

Small businesses were never meant to compete with giant corporations cutting corners, outsourcing everything, and producing thousands at a time.

And honestly… they shouldn’t have to 🌿

The right people will always understand the value of supporting something real, intentional, and made with care ✨
