The Sled Island festival in Calgary is a little over a week away! Anyone catching a show? I'll be seeing Billy Woods at the #1 Royal Canadian Legion!
I love Sled Island and attend at least one night of it every year, I've always preferred the way they organize their shows as opposed to a more traditional music festival. Instead of booking a bunch of bands on a few different stages in a large fairground type setup, they book everyone at local venues across Calgary over the course of 4 nights. This is much better in my opinion because experiencing a concert in a smaller venue is much more personal, plus it supports all of the great venues that Calgary has to offer. Thank you !
