Ordinary can be spectacular. These two staff favourites are an unlikely pairing but oh boy do they sing together and apart. 

And Aysegul Savas 's The Anthropologists: oh my goodness. Never have I ever felt an enchanting homesickness for living abroad than I did reading this book. Somehow this book with a deceptively simple plot tore my heart open to feels I didn't even know I had.  

Annie B. Jones's Ordinary Time is a both a salve and a lightening bolt of inspiration for those of us who stay - in our hometowns, jobs that fulfill us but aren't 'sparkly', in our faiths, in the delightful ordinary. and bonus she's an independent bookseller, too! Woohoo!!

With Spring sprung I can’t helping thinking about the gift of awe and wonder in our lives -  reprieve, the connection, the solace, and encouragement they bring.

These are my favourite books on the power of awe and wonder in our lives - especially now.  Each books is a warm spring breeze of pondering and being human.
