My latest painting, Lady Monarch!! It is not for sale yet, but I will be selling it after next year's PGX art competition.
I just want to say that I am very proud of this painting. This for me is a milestone. The first painting I had ever done did not turn out so well. It was done back in 2008 I believe and I could not paint as well as I could draw.. now, I prefer painting to drawing. This is why.
I had painted a picture of Joanie, the drawing inspired by Joanie Dodds, from ANTM. I knew that when I painted her, I was ready to move on. I hit a little road bump when I tried to draw Lady Gaga's Applause photo, I was unsuccessful.. but my friend Erika told me that all I had to do was to be patient because great art takes time.. and that's what I did with this. I was patient and I'm glad it turned out the exact way I wanted it to.
I was so nervous that my entire vision of my painting would be messed up and after, discarded. But looking at my painting while writing this out, I can not stop looking at it. I am very proud of this piece and I can not wait to do the next. Thank you everyone for all your support and I hope to sell more paintings in the future :)
