SparkJoy Cards has donated dozens of cards for the Powell River Community to write their holiday wishes for Ryan, a local 15 year old boy who will be in the Ronald McDonald hospital over Christmas.

Until January 1st, head on over to Kelly's Health Shop to pick a card and send your good vibes and encouragement Ryan’s way!

What a magical day!! The students at SD47 were incredibly thoughtful and caring as they wrote cards to seniors in our community. We had so much fun writing wonderful and special messages for the elders. Thank you Vitantonio Spinelli for capturing this footage, and Global BC for sharing this story!

Over 100 students from Westview Elementary and James Thomson Elementary recently wrote greeting cards to seniors in their community for the SparkJoy Holiday Care Project! Children truly know how to speak from the heart ❤️

This month The Peak - voice of the qathet region interviewed me about the SparkJoy Holiday Care project - connecting children to seniors through greeting cards this holiday season.

"When asked what kind of messages she hopes the children will send, Wilson said children have a way of speaking with more wisdom than people are often aware.
'The invitation for the children is to write something they think will bring joy to the person who receives the card,' said Wilson. 'It can be a quote, it can be a message, it can be a picture, or anything that comes to them. I want to leave it up to the imaginations and creativity of the children because a lot of magic comes through them.'"

So looking forward to watching the magic unfold over the coming weeks!

Autumn is one of my favourite times to get creative and bring new greeting card designs to life. The changing colours and falling leaves are a symbol of impermanence, and a reminder that life is temporary. It invites me to go inwards and center my purpose. It is a time to remember what is truly important in life and connect with those I love.

Behind every great leader is a great mentor.

As a young, female, entrepreneur I am so grateful for strong, female mentorship. SparkJoy Cards would not be the same without it.

Jill has got to be the most tenacious, bold and intelligent woman I have ever worked with. Her mentorship helps me realize possibilities, overcome limiting beliefs, and create from an empowered place.
