Cait and I have a tradition each year of waking up the day following the festival, with our mugs, and purging our thoughts, ideas, lessons, highlights, and joys from the days before.
This year we made it down to the Peace River to enjoy it in its natural state, sadly soon to change. I couldn’t help but notice the sense of pride we felt in all aspects of the festival. Not in ourselves, but in the group that surrounds the festival.
Someone said when running an operation you should hire people that are much more talented than you and learn from them. We feel we’ve done that. We have a team of people that excel in each area, and we get better by association!
Thank you to all who attended. We are grateful for the trust you put in us by spending your money and giving up a weekend of your summer. We don’t take it lightly, we hope to exceed your expectations each year.
To the artists, we are constantly in awe of the talent that is willing to play on our stage, it feels surreal.
The volunteers - you would struggle to understand the help you bring to this event. If you’ve ever hosted you know how invaluable volunteers are, and we feel that deeper each year. Thank you all.
Lastly and most importantly the core crew that sees the vision and works tirelessly to make it a reality, we literally wouldn’t do it without you. You’ve become a family that we have a hectic, tiring, yet fulfilling reunion with each year. We love you.
Now we plan to rest, give our kids the attention they deserve, and await the photos from !!!
