I don't know if you've looked at your calendar lately, but holy hells bells...HOLIDAYS are speeding this way like a flippin freight train! Luckily, there's plenty of options for local and small business unique and heatfelt gifts out there, including Hometown for the Holidays Hamdmade Market! Coming up November 18th and 19th. Less than a month away!!! Im so excited to be a part of this event being held at the gorgeous . Who's ready for marshmallows, wine and shoppin??

My grandfather served on a Restagouche class destroyer in the Canadian Navy. He was one of many men who lied about his age to join. He would tell me stories like the time the fleet was celebrating and he was served a lobster. Having no bloody clue what it was he fumbled with opening it till a man sat down beside him and explained what to do. It waant till hours afterwards he was told that man was not only a captain, but a commander of the fleet.

What he didnt speak about was the shrapnel lodged in his legs from falling pieces of weaponry and dogfighters raining doen from the blodied skies during combat. Or seeing his comrads not make it. Or the weight of knowing what was at stake and being pretty much a kid at the same time.

Im at my most proudest when I tell people that shes my mom🎉

Its my momma's Birthday today! She fights fiercely for what/whom she cares about. She puts her whole heart into everything she does. And she puts her whole heart into people (even when they dont deserve it). She is a high caliber woman with a grounded fierce spirit and loyal love. She is an amazing mother, and even more amazing grandmother. She is incredibly creative, her quilts are beautiful and i love how she effortlessly puts together patterns and colours. I love how she loves wine, essential oils, walks by lakes, and yellow roses. But most of all I love how lucky I am to be her daughter.
Please celebrate with me in saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the most loving amazing woman on the planet (in my science-based unbiased opinion).

Friday vibes 🤟

Feeling extra self conscious this week (served with a side of headaches and hormones). I had to have a 'WTF, I didnt come this far in healing old wounds to give into fears like this" moment.

Its becoming a well known fact that my favourite necklace is truly the little cork necklace. I LOVE me some rich neutral tones. Being sustainable cork and sourced from Portugal from a small family business also makes my heart pitter patter. It darkens and richens in colour with every oil application.

Pssst. Im going to let you in on a secret 😉. I just got a sneak peek at the Crafts at the Kiln online market website running throughout August....and I ran out of room on my big post-it note for all the things Ill need to look at when it officially opens!!! Since we cant be in person this year, and still have found a way to bring us together in a wonderful fun way. Featured shops and items are paired with a wine and book, there's even a summer playlist to listen to while you online shop!!! How fun is that?!!?
