Why the Dragonfly? 🌿✨

I knew I wanted a symbol that meant something real — not just something that looked pretty. The dragonfly chose me.

Dragonflies represent transformation, light, and quiet strength. They move through the world with grace, carrying a kind of magic that’s hard to explain but impossible to ignore.

And that felt right — because Rise & Glow is a new beginning.

This name, this brand, this chapter — it’s all part of moving forward. Of choosing change even when it’s uncomfortable. Of stepping into something new with intention and purpose.

The dragonfly embodies all of that. It transforms. It adapts. It doesn’t look back.

But it’s also something more personal. It’s a reflection of my grandmother — her spark, her love for bringing light into others’ lives, and the way she shined through everything she did. She’s a big part of why I started making candles in the first place, and I wanted this rebrand to carry a piece of her forward.

Every candle is a reminder to rise with grace, glow with purpose, and carry the light of those who helped us find our own. 🕯️

Every candle made is a small act of rising. A quiet reminder that no matter what you’ve been through, your light doesn’t go out — it just finds a new way to glow.

This is my fresh start. And I’m so grateful you’re here for it.

It is with great sadness that we announce the pause of our candle business. 💔

For nearly four years, we have been blessed with an incredible community of supporters who have shared in our passion and journey. However, the harsh realities of running a small business amidst rising costs have forced us to make this difficult decision, which was not taken lightly. We will continue to create candles for those closest to us and are happy to do so for any of you who request them, but for now, our dream must take a step back. Our love for candle-making remains strong, and we hope to one day reignite this flame.

Trimming your candle wick is a major part of candle maintenance. But it’s often overlooked. It’s easy (and certainly doable) to light your candle and go, but you won’t get the most out of your candle this way.

Whether you own a cotton wick or a wooden wick candle, you should trim your candle wicks to prolong the life and performance of your candle. 🕯️
