I thought I was done, apparently I am not. Fundraising still seems to run thru my venes and the need for funds throughout our community has not disappeared. While I enjoy retirement and now love being a painter, a little voice in my head said: What if?

Last month two donated paintings of mine raised money for our local Arts Council.

What if my art is not only enjoyed on a wall? What if people feel beautiful wearing my art? What if that kind of art is “made to order” in our very own beautiful Canada? Many have asked me whether I still own the cottage on Gertrude street and what happened to KUU-US Café. The easiest way to get those answers to you is:
No I don’t own the cottage and unfortunately I don’t know what happened to KUU-US café. The café opened exactly one year ago and it had a good start after a year and a half of renovations and putting in a commercial kitchen. Although the initial idea was a simple café and gift store, the idea turned into a restaurant and catering service I was never involved in. I do know lots of energy, love and good will was put into the start of the restaurant. Unfortunately KUU-US decided to close and sell the building. No doubt they must have had a good reason.

Yes it took a long time cutting through a ton of red tape, BUT with the addition of a commercial kitchen, beautiful gifts, and with passionate hard work by Todd and his staff, this is going to be a place people want to be! A home for a good cup of coffee and unique First Nations Cuisine. All the best KUU-US Café❤️
