I can’t knit, or crochet…but I have several zombie apocalypse skills I really hope I don’t have to use “for real” ever.
But I am worried about the neighbours.
I have called 911 for neighbours before a few time (it has seemingly all worked out now), can’t really do that now.
But
Silence is complicity at the end of the day, as I was reminded in catching up on my IG feeds.
And this is not OK

Some pop-up set up coming together…batiks are almost all out, they will be $12/yard. Pre-cut random 1 yard pieces will be $9 each. If you need a back the $10/yard table has lots of prints on it, will ad a few yet. I have these panels of tone on tone, each panel has 8 12x10 squares for a total of 8 prints. They are meant for when you want a consistent background colour but some variation. Think of it like 36 tone one tone charm squares in grey, bright white or white.
Fat quarters will also be out, $4 ea or 6 for $20

Quilt weather is here!
I had a flower filled day in the store yesterday, a lovely lady who found me due to a prior pop up reached out to come back, needing more of a fabric she had bought some fqs of for her current project.
We had a grand time browsing to find focus fabrics for her next project….felt like spring! Which may only be 8 Sundays away but when we left the store it was to white out snow streamers….spring might be a while yet.
Join us at our next pop up! I know Karen is near ready, and Larry had had some inquiries, I will have the space sorted and some lovely things for you ready to go!
Tonight the fur kids are buried under the human kids kid sized quilts…stay warm!

Fun with continued over holidays. First was giant footstool as our two ridiculous kids NEED to be on the couch with you and that meant nowhere for legs…crafting for self defense.
Next up was a belt our “extra” kid (eldest’s bf) needed repaired…I was trying to replace the rotten parts of the leather with new bits sewn over…the hinge had been skived down originally and it broke as I handled it so I ended up cutting the joins off, making new pieces and riveting them on as sewing or punching through the thick dried leather was impossible. No final pic taken it seems but I also remade the belt pieces as they we cracking and old…worked well.
Onwards!

So - just prior to Christmas I went on a crafty adventure and took a 4 day workshop in Stratford, Ontario with Stratford...

So - just prior to Christmas I went on a crafty adventure and took a 4 day workshop in Stratford, Ontario with Stratford Off the Wall on shoemaking, specifically boots.
A selection of pictures is shown below, I highly recommend the course.
You may or may not know I have been making with leather for a wee while now, this is the next step. I was working at it online but nothing compares to in person.
The big kid has her requests lined up, stay tuned!

Merry Christmas Eve!
I hope you are all enjoying the evening your own way and have a lovely Holiday!
I have a currently quiet house, only a wee bit of wrapping to do while the kiddos are out, so have decided this giant hide will become a footstool!
I will let you know how this works out, don’t worry, the Weims are home “supervising” (not napping under )

The pattern development and buttons went into 9 possibly inebriated/slouchy hedgehog pincushions. Nothing bought, wool and buttons, fake fur, leather, polygon and walnut shells used to create these characterful creatures. They are off to new homes hopefully to be used…
