Followers get first dibs. Vinyl record drop, all titles are VG to VG +. Prices are tax in. All records are used except when noted, new sealed. All used records have been ultrasonic cleaned and you even get to keep the outer sleeve. If you buy a used record from me and you are not happy with the quality, bring it back for a full refund or exchange. Local pickup in Peterborough, shipping options available.

Very excited to share that we will be celebrating with not one but two playlists this weekend!! Join me Saturday for a Hip Double bill with lots of goodies to share. Playlist 478 will feature Hip rarities, covers and selected solo tracks from the boys, yes even !! Playlist 479 will see me sharing selected live track highlights from my 29 Hip shows. Canadian artist of the day, Maestro Fresh Wes ( Nigel's pick ). Wesley "Wes" Williams a rapper, singer, record producer, actor, and author. He is known professionally by his stage names Maestro Fresh Wes (formerly Maestro Fresh-Wes) or Maestro as a musician, and is credited by his birth name as an actor. One of the earliest Canadian rappers to achieve mainstream success, he is credited as the "Godfather of Canadian hip hop". His debut album, Symphony in Effect (1989), was the first certified platinum album by a Black Canadian artist, and his 2023 induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and 2024 Governor General's Performing Arts Award were each the first for any hip-hop artist.

In 2020, after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Williams and his family moved to the port city of Saint John, New Brunswick. The radio show Maestro In The Maritimes became a regional favourite featuring his own playlists and commentary. In 2021, Willams published his second children's book "Stick To Your Vision: Young Maestro Goes to School" that encourages fun and self expression through hip hop, poetry, and music. His performance of "Let Your Backbone Slide" was performed and celebrated at the 50th anniversary presentation of the country's Juno Awards. in the summer of 2021, he was cast as the host of the hit reality show Race Against the Tide show which aired on CBC in July 2022. Produced by Toronto-based Marble Media, and filmed on New River Beach, New Brunswick, the series brings together the best sand sculptors in the world to win challenges before the tide sweeps their art away.

In 2024, Williams was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, becoming the first hip-hop musician to do so. He was featured on a Canada Post stamp in February 2026 as part of its Black History Month collection.

Had a really good day today getting the shop put back together for the weekend. I had help from Nigel, he did all the heavy lifting, mounted some art work and helped sort out tons of records. Brenda did all the painting of the shelves and a bunch of touch up’s yesterday. It’s really starting to come together.

Canadian artist of the day, Rochelle Jordan. She was born in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England and moved to Wheatley, Ontario at age 4 with her family. Her parents were British Jamaican and her father was a musician. She was diagnosed with sickle cell anemia at age 2 and was frequently hospitalized for the disorder. She began making music when she was 16, uploading covers of R&B songs on YouTube after being inspired by Justin Bieber.

Record producer KLSH discovered Jordan through her YouTube videos in 2009. The two collaborated on Jordan's first mixtape, Alien Phase, released in 2010. This was followed by her 2011 mixtape Rojo and 2012 mixtape Pressure. Jordan released her debut album, 1021, in 2014. She wrote and recorded the project in her bedroom after she moved to Los Angeles for her musical career. Following the release of the album, she signed a record deal that she described as "toxic" and fell into a "really intense depression" while continuing to deal with sickle cell anemia. In the final year of the deal, she signed to Young Art, a label imprint run by record producer Tokimonsta.

Following a seven year hiatus, Jordan released her second album, Play with the Changes in April 2021. She released her third album, Through the Wall in September 2025.

Through the Wall was shortlisted for the 2026 Polaris Music Prize, and the song "The Boy" was longlisted for the SOCAN Polaris Song Prize.
