HI I'mđđť April, owner of Georgian Bay Refillery
(you may also know me as the Executive Director of Parry Sound Downtown Business Association.)
I'm not very good at showing up infront of the camera , but I thought it was time for a reintro for some of the kind, new followers here. - welcome!
My journey into the Refillery started with a simple belief: small, accessible changes can reshape how a community approaches sustainability and more importantly, I wanted to provide healthy, natural options that are safe for you and your family. Georgian Bay Refillery is my way of making lowâwaste living realistic, welcoming, and empowering for everyone â whether you're refilling your first bottle or fully embracing a natural lifestyle.
Iâm proud of building a business that reflects my values: sustainability, community care, and reducing our environmental footprint without judgment or complexity. Every conversation in the shop, every refill, and every question inspires me.
In my role with the DBA, I get to see firsthand how local businesses shape the identity and energy of our community. That perspective mirrors how I run the Refillery â as a catalyst for connection, education, and positive change downtown.
I'm excited to expand the Refilleryâs impact: more real, healthy, every day products that meet real needs. That leads to more partnerships with local makers, and more opportunities for people to engage with sustainable living in approachable ways. And honestly, it's often not about selling anything to you at all, it's finding the best option for you and your family!
You will find me reusing or repurposing whatever I can, wearing the same clothes I've had for years (you'll see lots of this one - it's my new favorite jacket đ) you will find me shopping at small businesses and I will be your biggest cheerleader in whatever stage you come into the shop.
Iâd love to hear from you: Do you have questions about our natural products, their effectiveness or how this whole thing works? Whatâs one small ecoâfriendly habit youâve been curious to try â and whatâs been holding you back in switching from commercially made to natural products?
