This year I have decided to organize my sewing 🧵 rooms. Part of that is getting rid of some of my scraps. I decided to group the scraps according to their colours and the sew them into fabric pieces. I have given myself a week to see each colour. This past week was green. Next week is yellow stay tuned. Hope to use some of these fabrics in quilts and other sewing projects. It was fun sewing these pieces together.

So this year I decided to get better organized in my sewing 🧵 room. Part of getting organized is getting rid of my scrap piles. I have sorted my scraps accordingly into different colours so this last week I sewed my green fabric scraps together. I got a few nice pieces of fabric which I hope to use in a quilt. Next week is yellow. Stay tuned.

In isolation for 2 weeks and my grandsons birthdays came around. I hadn’t bought them a birthday card so decided to make some postcards and turn them into birthday cards. Used mostly my own dyed fabric. They loved them. ❤️

Here are the fabrics I dyed. It’s windy today so difficult to get a good picture. Hope to get more later. I’m pleased with how they turned out. Love when I wash them out to see how the colours blended. As I iron the fabric the beautiful design of the colours really show. The first 2 pictures are of the fabrics I dyed on Tuesday and the others are the ones I dyed yesterday. The last time I dyed 2 yards of fabric. This is definitely my passion and also a good workout 😆Some of the fabric I will sell and I’m thinking about making something with a few pieces. Will post better pictures later. 😄

Day 3 of self isolation is over and spent the day ice dyeing and low immersions dyeing. Weather is cooling off so had to bring my fabric inside. Tomorrow is scheduled for rain so I’ll be getting wet finishing these fabrics. ❤️

Day one of 14 day isolation over. I cut some herbs to dry oregano tarragon, peppermint and chives. I am eating what remains of my raspberries and just relaxing in my garden. Returned home from Ontario after having a fabulous time with my Son, Daughter-in-law and Granddaughter . Three weeks went so very fast. Good to be home but missing them. Now only 13 more days and I can have a visit with my other Son and Daughter-in-law and 2 Grandsons. I missed them when I was away. This is the tragedy of having family away. I’m also missing my grandson’s 3rd birthday party today. I guess that’s the way of life today. ❤️
