Gourmet production has started! With a little more warmth in the sun and the days a little longer, rhubarb is sprouting! Shirley is busy cutting, cleaning and chopping. Sian will be busy restocking our delicious Maple Rhubarb Citrus Preserve. Mmmmmm!

With a hint of citrus and ginger, it’s delicious on your charcuterie board or beside a savory omelet!

Ontario Maple Syrup Producers Association is a great resource for the consumer. It has a list of producers by area and lots of great information and recipes!

Recent CBC news from Quebec regarding maple syrup on grocery shelves containing 50% cane sugar reminds Ontario maple product consumers to understand the source of their purchase.

Maple syrup products offered for sale by members of the Ontario Maple Syrup Producers' Association (OMSPA) are crafted with tradition, care and due diligence from tree to table. Any products labelled with the "Sweet Ontario" label contain only 100% pure Ontario maple syrup.

OMSPA promotes the highest standards of education, stewardship and production processes within our membership and advocates on behalf of those members to foster a confident connection between our producers and consumers.

We encourage our consumers to check containers for the Sweet Ontario logo, the OMSPA logo, the producer's information and a Lot/Batch code.

Our shop and grounds are open until April 19!
Your chance to visit in the clean up phase of syrup making.
There are two “springs” maple spring is followed by the greening spring.
The first spring flowers have popped up letting us know “maple spring” is over for another year.
And what a year it was, record production and fabulous visitors from our neighbourhood and from around the world!
A huge thanks to Mother Nature for her bounty, our fabulous staff who greet our loyal (and new) customers, our family and friend volunteers and our business collaborators who support us through a busy time of year.
