It’s the last chance to visit us this spring season!🌱

We’re open today and tomorrow from 10am to 4pm for our final weekend of the season. There are still a number of tree varieties available, and the beautiful weather makes it a great time to get outdoors and plant.☀️🌳

We will reopen on weekends again this coming fall. Stop by today or tomorrow to visit one last time before then!

2026 Christmas tree planting is officially in the ground 🌲

Our earliest and smoothest season yet, thanks to a great stretch of weather and an even better crew! Thousands of seedlings are now planted and on their way. These trees won’t be ready to decorate until 2035!🎄

Filming has officially wrapped on another project at the farm 🎬

“Winter Wonderlanes” has officially finished filming, marking the third movie shot here in 2026, and our 10th film at the farm since 2016! It’s always incredible to see the farm transformed for the screen. 📺

Grateful to the cast and crew for bringing their vision to life here. We can’t wait to see it all come together!

Movie #2 for 2026 is a wrap! 🎬🌲

We were excited to host another filming at the farm this past week! Love Under Construction will officially mark our second non-Christmas movie at the farm.

And it didn’t take long for them to find the perfect scene either… once the writers saw our iconic covered bridge, they knew it had to be part of the story 🌉🌼

Another movie we can’t wait to watch on the big screen!🎥🍿

We are proud to share the news of a new local business! 🎉

As many of you know, our son Neil graduated from Ridgetown College in 2024 with a diploma in Horticulture and has spent the past few years growing and selling potted trees here at the farm. He has now officially launched his own business, Cedar Hill Tree Nursery!

He will continue to be located at the tree farm and open on select weekends this spring.

🎬Lights, camera, action (again!)!

Our farm (and the shop) have seen its fair share of Christmas movie magic over the years but this time, we’re switching things up. We’re excited to be a filming location for Pie Queen, our very first non-Christmas movie! 🥧

You may have also spotted the crew around town at spots like the Almonte Butcher Shop and Francis Fuels. It’s always fun to see our community on the big screen! 📺

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Ray Giles, a true pillar of our community and a dear friend to our farm.

Ray was a dedicated member of our local church, a familiar and friendly face as a school bus driver, and a long-time tractor driver here at the tree farm. His kindness, hard work, and commitment to those around him left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

The Martin family and our entire staff extend our sincere condolences to Ray’s family and loved ones. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered. ❤️

🌲♻️Nothing goes to waste around here!

Each year, we end the Christmas season with a small number of pre-cut trees left over. This year, we were happy to donate those trees to the Rideau Valley Conservation Authority’s Water Science team. Working alongside local lake associations, the trees were used as part of fish habitat enhancement projects — giving our Christmas trees a meaningful second life in local waterways. Turns out Christmas tree make great fish homes too! 🐟🌲
