It’s time to integrate the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual sides of you into one bold statement. Ready to elevate your aura? Keep reading.

Types of Lip Piercings and Their Unique Features

1.Labret Piercing

•Location: Centered below the bottom lip.
•Jewelry: Flat-back labret stud
•How It’s Done: The piercing is placed through the skin just below the lower lip, creating a sleek and symmetrical look.
•What Makes It Unique: A classic option, perfect for those new to lip piercings.

•For the balanced babes: Classic and centered below your lower lip, the labret is all about symmetry. This piercing screams “I’m grounded, but I’m bold.” Perfect for leveling up your look without breaking your vibe.

2.Monroe Piercing
•Channel your inner star: Just above your lip, this piercing gives Marilyn Monroe vibes with a modern twist. It’s playful yet poised like, “I woke up fabulous and didn’t even try.”

•Location: Above the upper lip, on the left or right side.
•Jewelry: Small stud or labret stud.
•How It’s Done: Mimicking Marilyn Monroe’s beauty mark, this piercing is placed just above the lip, requiring precise alignment.
•What Makes It Unique: Elegant and playful, adding a vintage-inspired charm.

3.Medusa Piercing

•The queen’s crown: Dead center above your upper lip, this one’s all about alignment spiritually and aesthetically. Want to radiate balance? Medusa’s got you.

•Location: The philtrum, the groove above the center of the upper lip.
Jewelry: Flat-back labret stud.
•How It’s Done: The piercer carefully places the needle through the philtrum for a clean, centered look.
•What Makes It Unique: Perfect for creating symmetry and drawing attention to the lips.

4. Vertical Labret Piercing

Next-level energy: Running through your lower lip with a curved barbell, this piercing brings dimension. It’s like saying, “Yes, I’m extra, and yes, I know it looks this good.

•Location: The center of the bottom lip, going vertically through the lip tissue.
•Jewelry: Curved barbell.
How It’s Done: The piercing passes through the lip itself, leaving both ends of the jewelry visible for a striking look.
•What Makes It Unique: Unlike other lip piercings, this one doesn’t go inside the mouth.

5. Dahlia Piercings

Smile game strong: Perfectly placed at the corners of your mouth, Dahlia piercings give a playful yet mysterious vibe. The kind of smile that says, “I’m the main character, and the plot twist.
•Location: The corners of the mouth.
•Jewelry: Small labret studs.
•How It’s Done: Piercings are placed symmetrically at the corners of the mouth, requiring careful placement.
•What Makes It Unique: Gives a “smiling” effect, offering a playful and unique aesthetic.

6 Bite Piercings (Cyber, Angel, Dolphin, Snake, Spider, Shark)
•Double the drama: Cyber, Snake, or Angel—bite piercings are for those who play by their own rules. Why have one piercing when you can make it a power move?

•Location: Typically grouped as pairs or sets around the lips (e.g., Cyber Bites include Medusa and Labret; Snake Bites involve two piercings below the bottom lip).
•Jewelry: Labret studs or rings, depending on the style.
•How They’re Done: Each piercing is performed individually, with careful symmetry to ensure a balanced look.
•What Makes Them Unique: Bite piercings create bold and symmetrical designs around the lips, tailored to your style.

How Lip Piercings Differ from Others
•Skin Thickness: Lip piercings go through delicate tissue, making them less painful than some cartilage piercings.
•Aftercare: Since they’re near the mouth, maintaining oral hygiene is crucial to prevent infection.
•Healing Time: Most lip piercings heal faster (6-8 weeks) than cartilage piercings but require consistent aftercare.
•Jewelry Variety: From studs to rings, lip piercings allow for a wide range of customizable looks.

Lip Piercings Are Different Like You

Lip piercings don’t just add to your look; they become part of your energy. With faster healing times and endless jewelry options, they’re the ultimate accessory for anyone living their truth unapologetically. Plus, they’re a constant reminder of your fierce, balanced self mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual. Every time you see it, it’s like, “Yeah, that’s me.

REMINDER At Crimson Studio, your safety and results are always top priority. Whether it’s a delicate lobe or a bold cartilage placement, what you put in your body before your appointment can seriously affect the healing process and even the piercing itself. Here’s a full breakdown of what to avoid, why it matters, and what can happen if you don’t.

What to AVOID Before Piercing:
1.Aspirin
• Why: It’s a blood thinner. It prevents platelets from clumping, making it harder for your body to clot during the piercing.
• Risk: Excessive bleeding, delayed healing.
2. Ibuprofen / NSAIDs (like Advil, Aleve, Motrin)
• Why: These reduce inflammation, but they also impair platelet function.
•Risk: More bleeding during the piercing, and possibly increased bruising.
3. Alcohol (wine, beer, hard liquor)
•Why: Alcohol thins the blood and dehydrates you.
• Risk: Increased bleeding, dizziness, heightened pain sensitivity.
4. Cannabis (smoked, v**ed, or edible)
•Why: While relaxing for some, cannabis can increase heart rate and impair immune function short term.
•Risk: More bleeding, and potentially an exaggerated swelling or delayed healing response.
5. Ni****ne (v**e, ci******es, etc.)
• Why: Ni****ne constricts blood vessels and reduces oxygen delivery to tissue.
• Risk: Poor circulation = slow healing, more risk of infection or keloids.
6. Fish Oil & Omega-3 Supplements
• Why: These are natural blood thinners, just like aspirin.
•Risk: Unexpected bleeding and bruising.
7. Vitamin E (high doses)
•Why: Increases bleeding time.
• Risk: Internal bleeding or clotting issues at the piercing site.
8. Garlic (in supplement or heavy food form) Why: Garlic contains allicin, which affects blood thinning.
• Risk: Again — more bleeding, slower clotting.
9. Fatty Fish (salmon, mackerel) or large amounts of butter
• Why: High omega-3 content = blood thinning.
• Risk: Can compound effects with other thinners.
10. Ginger, Turmeric, Ginkgo Biloba, and Ginseng (Supplements or heavy tea use)

• Why: All of these can act as mild anticoagulants.
• Risk: Bleeding and swelling risk increases if taken with other thinners.

11. Over-the-Counter Cold & Allergy Medications (if they contain ibuprofen or pseudoephedrine)

•Why: Some ingredients have stimulant effects or may interact with vasoconstriction.
•Risk: Increased blood pressure, bleeding, or slowed healing.

12. Certain Prescription Antidepressants (SSRIs like Zoloft, Prozac, etc.)

•Why: These can increase bleeding tendencies in some people.
•Note: NEVER stop prescriptions for a piercing. But inform your piercer if you’re on them, so aftercare can be adjusted.

How Long Should You Avoid These?

Ideally, stop these substances 24–48 hours before your appointment (or longer if it’s a supplement like fish oil that stays in your system).
Always check with your doctor or pharmacist before stopping any prescription drugs. Your health comes first!

Why This Matters:

When your body is thinned out even naturally by supplements or herbs piercing becomes harder to control.
•You may bleed more during the piercing, which can increase risk of bruising or rejection.
•Your swelling may worsen, making jewelry uncomfortable.
•Your body may heal slower, and the chance of infection or complications goes up.

We want you to leave Crimson Studio GLOWING, not swollen and stressed.
Please follow these guidelines, ask questions, and be open with your piercer about anything you’ve taken — even if it feels small.

Feel free to DM or text with any questions before your appointment. We’re here to help.
Let’s keep it safe, sexy, and sparkling.

🚨 Important Studio Policy 🚨

If you experience excessive bleeding or pain beyond a normal pinch, it’s a sign your body may not be in the right state for piercing. In this case:

We may pause or cancel the piercing for your safety.
The studio is not responsible for bleeding reactions caused by substances consumed prior to your appointment.

Please plan ahead so you can enjoy your piercing with minimal discomfort and max slay.
