Some lovely old Zildjians came with the Gold 66 Kit. These seem to be early 60s for the most part. Hi Hats are excellent early New Beat style which started with Louie Bellson’s heavier-bottom hi-hat concept around 1965, 828 over 1338 grams! The 16" is faintly stamped "thin" and the 18" sits nicely in crash/ride territory.

1966 Ludwig Super Classic Gold Sparkle Collector Grade Set "Still Life"

Beautiful collector grade 1966 Ludwig Super Classic outfit in original Gold Sparkle. This set features close Keystone badge serial numbers dating the drums to 1966, along with the original matching Gold Sparkle Jazz Festival snare drum, which has a no-serial Keystone badge that originated with the set.

Classic Ludwig 3-ply shells with reinforcement rings, original vibrant Gold Sparkle wrap, rail consolette tom mount, bass drum cymbal holder, gullwing spurs, internal mufflers, and original Ludwig front logo bass drum head. The kit presents exceptionally well with clean chrome, strong colour, and a very complete original vintage look.

Includes drums and Ludwig hardware as shown, minus cymbals. A rare, clean, and highly desirable mid-60s Ludwig Super Classic set with excellent collector and player appeal.

There certainly has been a lot of buzz around the new Slingerland drums that have recently returned and we love them at the shop but we also have a deep appreciation for the original and we have a couple of beauties in now. Both early 50's one is chrome hardware on nickel both great players grade with very nice solid shells. $1099 and $1299 Canadian available in store and online.
